Bowness and Windermere are popular with visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere The World of Beatrix Potter attraction is 1.5 miles away. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is less than two miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away.

"Arrived and all I can say is wow what a fabulous spacious apartment smack in the middle of Windermere with lots to do on the doorstep. The apartment was beautifully presented with everything we needed, and the view down the high street was amazing. We will definitely be returning. "
"Just returned from a long weekend in this recently refurbished apartment right I'm the centre of bustling Windermere. A fabulous place just like a home from home with ample space to spread out and relax. The entrance hall doubles up as a dining room and with a fully equipped kitchen you could easily rustle up an evening meal for all the family. The large lounge houses a fabulous corner sofa that gives a great view up the high street or a great spot to catch up on some favourite TV. The main bedroom is on the corner of the property and has a king size bed and another sofa from which to watch the high street go by from above. Brand new bathroom with a bath and shower are housed at the other end of the apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend both the apartment and Windermere which has a host of restaurants, bars and shops to fill your time. You can venture further afield easy enough using the local bus service or a short 20 minute walk brings you to Bowness on Windermere and the lakeside. Great base for all things Lake District. "
