This detached cottage offers a traditional home for 6 people in the small community of Chapeltown in the centre of the island of Valentia off Ireland's west coast. All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite (shower, basin and WC), 2 x twin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and WC. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen and dining area, arch through to sitting area with open fire, French doors and views out to sea.
Centrally located on the island of Valentia, Birds Cottage is a traditional cottage which offers comfortable accommodation for six people across two twin bedrooms and one double (with en-suite facilities). Birds Cottage also has a family bathroom, fitted kitchen, a cosy sitting room with an open fire and a lovely lawned garden where you can sit and relax after a hard day's fishing or walking. Just a short walk away from Birds Cottage are the local pub and shop in the village of Chapeltown, making this an ideal spot for soaking up the atmosphere of this magical part of Ireland. County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.

With nothing but ocean between it and North America, the island of Valentia, which sits off the west coast of County Kerry, is a fascinating location for a holiday cottage. It is accessed by road bridge from Portmagee and is famed for the breathtaking 'Fogher' sea cliffs, which rise from the Atlantic Ocean on the north of the Island. The village of Chapeltown is centrally located, making it ideal for exploring this island and is just a short drive from the main village of Knightstown, which is home to an array of shops, restaurants, pubs as well as the departure point for the numerous fishing boats and sightseeing excursions.
