Overview
Situated just off the cobbled Market Square, in the centre of Whitby Old Town just yards from quaint shops, restaurants, pubs and the beach, this is a superb period property. Four bedrooms: 1 x first floor twin with two windows, 1 x second floor double with two-seater sofa, TV, walk-in wardrobe, shower room and WC, 1 x third floor twin, 1 x third floor single. Two bathrooms: 1 x second floor bathroom with freestanding bath, basin and WC, 1 x second floor shower room and WC. Kitchen with dining area with multi-fuel stove. Utility Room First floor sitting room with panelling and decorative open fire.
Ground Floor The ground floor comprises an entrance hall with original tiled floor; this leads to a large kitchen/dining room with range cooker and a wood burning stove - perfect for the cooler evenings! - and seating for 8 people around a large beech table, an ideal spot to enjoy meals together. There is a small utility room, with washing machine, located off the kitchen. First Floor On the first floor is a spacious wood panelled sitting room with comfortable seating and a flat Screen TV & DVD and a small library. This floor also has a twin bedroom. Second Floor On the second floor is a good size master bedroom with en-suite shower room and walk-in dressing room. There is a lovely house bathroom with free standing bath, WC and wash basin. Third Floor On the top floor is a small single bedroom and an open-plan attic area with two single beds and dressing area.

Electric oven with gas hob, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD, WiFi. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside Car Parking Nearest parking is a Pay and Display car park approximately 450 metres away on Church Street. Parking permits can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre. Time restricted parking is available on Church Street approximately 500 metres away. Unrestricted parking on Church Street is available a further 450 metres away. One well-behaved pet welcome. Notes: Welcome hamper of quality Yorkshire goodies on arrival. The entrance to the property is at street level via a small alley off the cobbled section of Church Street. The flagstone floored alley called Borough Place is 91 cm wide but narrows to 84 cm in places.

The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
