Holyhead is a lively and bustling town on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. It's the largest town on the island and is best known for being the main ferry port across to Ireland. The town also features extensive history, in the form of the Roman remains that can be found throughout the town and medieval burial chambers. The Holyhead coast offers wonderful views out onto the Irish Sea and you can also walk the wonderful Anglesey Coastal Path. Plus, the lighthouse at South Stack is iconic and unmissable. Trearddur Bay and its wonderful sandy beaches, plus the magnificent Snowdonia National Park are each just a 20 minute drive away, making it a wonderful location for a vast and varied holiday.
