Collooney is a small village in County Sligo located between Ownemore and Unshin rivers. The village is home to Makree Castle, the ancestral seat of the Cooper family, which now runs as a family-run hotel. Nearby is one of Ireland's largest towns, Sligo, overlooking Benbulben Mountain, Knocknarea Hill and the Emerald Isle, it hosts plenty of beaches, walks, pubs and restaurants. Local attractions include art galleries, seaweed baths, beach horse riding, and fishing. Yeats Memorial Building and Hawk's Well Theatre are two widely recognised cultural attractions to visit.
