Hilgay is a small civil parish located south of Downham Market in the district of King's Lynn in West Norfolk, East Anglia. Situated on a raised isle over the surrounding fenland, the parish was prominent during Saxon and early Norman times for fishing in the River Wissey. There is a village shop, pub, and a farm shop in the surrounding area. Nearby is Downham Market which hosts weekly markets, and the town of Thetford boats Thetford Forest Park where you can take part in the Go Ape high ropes course.
