Reviews
"Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The bungalow has been decorated in the highest standard. All utensils, crockery, pots and pans were of the best quality. Linen was clean and fresh. Immaculately clean property. Beautiful view from living room. Wifi worked perfectly. We loved our stay. Visited Wigtown, Whithorn. The Bladnoch Inn do a lovely evening service. I would recommend this bungalow. "
"We arrived to find a good, secure way to gain entry. We switched on the heating, the broadband and the Sky box, all laid out in a perfectly simple guide. The manuals for all appliances were in one place, so getting the hob to work was a two-minute job, as was the microwave. Though we had no children in our party, it is quite safe for kids as it is on a quiet road through the hamlet. Many towns are just a few minutes away and the views are stunning from the cottage."
"My husband, mother and myself spent a week at this accommodation which covered every amenity possible, well furnished, clean and comfortable with good beds. Great view from living room and kitchen windows, overlooking the sea. Kitchen also had a good dinning space with basic Sky t.v. in dinning room and living room. A good area for touring."
"We stayed here for a week in February and I would honestly really recommend the property and its location in Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage itself is absolutely great inside, everything is finished really well and the owner has thought of everything. It was way bigger than we expected too and would be great for a family to stay in. I would say its easily one of the nicest (if not the nicest) place we've stayed. The views from the property are lovely and we had some decent weather during our stay too. The location of the cottage was great too - most attractions are a fairly short drive away and everything runs off the A75 so it's nice and convenient. We didn't expect there to be much going on, especially out of season, but we were never bored during our stay and got out and about both days. This is a beautiful, peaceful part of Scotland that we've both fallen a bit in love with! We took our dog with us too and found there were loads of places to take them. We'd love to come back (maybe in summer) and if you're thinking of staying here I'd say go for it!"
"New and clean cottage, all mod cons and thoughtfully designed. Probably best cottage we have ever stayed in. Within easy reach of 5 mins drive to one of the 7 Stanes Mountain biking and another one within easy car journey - all levels catered for. Good car ride through the forests. Didn't have to travel far to enjoy the area like St Ninans cave and the Bladnock whisky distillary which was lovely. Did fishing in local lochs. Also cycled to Creetown, did local walk and visited Gems museum which was surprisingly interesting for my 11 year old. Smokehouse close by so good for scallops as holiday treat and chocolate icecream. Found path down to local beach from road near other smokehouse. Great views from the property when the sun sets. Only negative being the noise from the main road when you were sitting out but nothing you can do about that. There is a smaller road in front of the cottage which only has a small amount of passing traffic. Would say this part of the Scotland is undiscovered and well worth going to plus also closer to travel too!"
