"I visited Sandsview with my wife and two small children and have to say we had the best week away we have ever had as a family! The house itself is situated in a side road overlooking the beautiful coast and within a few minutes walk from loads of bars, restaurants and cafes. It is really spacious and the kids loved running up and down the stairs and were amazed at how big it was as our house is much smaller. Parking outside the house was quite tricky but there is free parking within a few minutes walk and there was space to quickly park outside to unload the car. We have already booked to return to Sandsview (where the weather will hopefully be warmer!) and would thoroughly recommended this lovely holiday home."

"Ok...so as we were forewarned by other reviews, parking was a HUGE problem outside the property. It is a small cul-de-sac which goes into a point with double yellow lines. Only 3 properties were holiday lets so other homeowners had put a boat trailer there which takes up at least 2 car spaces and then there were those with large vans. Most days we had to walk about half a mile to get to the car before we could start out on visiting other places in the area, such as Broadstairs, Dover etc. The rooms were all of a good size for our family of 5 but by the 2nd night we could no longer use the ground floor twin room and the ground floor bathroom due to the stale, mouldy smell permeating from the lower basement (that was not open to holiday makers so no clear air was allowed to circulate) ...this made it so we couldn't have those particular windows open because that would only allow stale air into the bedroom and bathroom. The top floor bedroom was a joy to use (once we removed the memory foam topper from the bed - much too soft). The views were lovely and you get your own secret lav in the wardrobe! The kitchen was a little smaller than it looked in the photos, however we had to eat at the kitchen table as there wasn't much room to all fit around the dining room table which had been squashed into the lounge that already housed two large sofas and a lazeeboy chair plus cupboard. The views from the lounge, especially with the lit up boats at night, were lovely although the floor of the balcony was a bit wobbly... All in all, we had a good stay and it is a very pleasant place to stay ( the Royal Pavilion which is now a Wetherspoons was due to open after we were to leave so I don't know about the extra noise in the evening...) Yes we had a pleasant stay until Thursday night around 10.30pm when carnival lorries started to turn up and set up for the weekend's carnival which we had not been aware of. The roads were being closed which made us anxious so we packed up and decided to leave a day early. My husband had to collect the car from right over on the cliff tops and carnival security tried to stop him coming up to Kent Terrace to fetch all our belongings - and us! After a few heated words, they let him through. So we lost a day of our holiday due to this...as did the other 2 families holidaying on the Kent Terrace who had had the same idea. Unfortunately, I would only recommend the property if you are definitely not going to want to use your car much because even carrying your heavy bags of grocery shopping from any distance is a pain when you're on holiday. Lovely building, pleasant area but needs parking space."

"The house has everything you need to provide you with a relaxing holiday. Large comfortable rooms with adequate amount of bathrooms and even a hidden toilet and hand basin in second floor bedroom. Lovely sitting on balcony watching the sun rise and fall over the sea to the sound of the gulls. Outside and balcony could do with a little TLC but did not spoil our overall impression of the building. The one downside is lack of parking space so on the second day, after we managed to park near the house, we did not use the car again. Instead we used the excellent bus service to take us anywhere we wanted to visit. Shops, restaurants and pubs are on the doorstep so no need to walk far if you don't want to. Thoroughly enjoyed holiday."

"Sigh. Could be so great, such a beautiful building in a great location. It desperately need updating. At least the original windows are still in. Week in this place was a disaster: a hidden step to bathroom caused my mum to fall on arrival. One broken arm with metal plate put in a week later.... Could have really made a big deal about the step but actually just wanted to go home ."

"Lovely accommodation x no parking but we were warned of that prior to Our stay! Due to proximity of sea front would not want to stay high season However we stayed in October and it was perfect x area looked a bit run down rubbish everywhere but the property itself was amazing!"
