Reviews
"Ok... Everything in the house is perfect. Honestly, it's fantastic. However...I wish I could transfer the house to let's say, a nicer part of town. The neighbors are horrendous. The music pounding through the wall simply upsets. I went round to try and ask them to turn the music down, but was in need of a Polish translator. The road at the bottom for the garden is so loud, that sitting and enjoying the sunshine is not possible. Also... You will be overlooked by yet more eastern European folk stearing at you from the to the flat next door to the house, every evening... As they seem to gather nightly. You can see why Gordan doesn't live here... You can see why Andover voted to leave the EU. A great house if you don't intend to use it or have children that need to sleep from 7.30pm onwards. Otherwise... Find somewhere that is detached, and not on the worst street on Andover."
"We recently stayed at Gordon's House for a week and enjoyed our stay. It is quite spacious and clean and the cake left for us on arrival was a nice touch. It is centrally located in Andover and is a good base for exploring Hampshire. I wouldn't necessarily describe it as 'luxury' as it wasn't very high spec, but it is very nice and comfortable and we had a good time. Lots of good space for family dining. We did struggle with the restrictions on the Sky TV. To watch most things we wanted to watch pre watershed a PIN was required and it isn't provided to guests. Fortunately we had brought a laptop so were able to access Netflix etc but it was a shame not to be able to use the TV properly. Parking on the drive is a little awkward if you have a big car and there is no bath."
"Visited this lovely town house with a couple of friends and their 2 year old, as we were visiting Legoland. What a wonderful place. It was warm, cosy and very comfortable. Really felt at home in this house and wonderfully situated, just a 5 minute walk from the town. We didn't actually meet the owner, as our friends booked it, but hats off to her, as she had thought of everything. I would definately recommend this rental to people."
"Overall, excellent stay - very comfortable property, all the creature comforts that you need. Lovely garden as well as having separate cinema room in the extension. Andover good base for exploring area - recommend Salisbury and Winchester cathedrals, Peppa Pig world, Finkley Down Farm, Playdays soft play and Jump Factory Basingstoke and Romsey Rapids. Pink Olive Indian and Hare & Hounds highly recommended. Enjoy!"
"It's just a lovely property. Great care and attention to detail has gone into the recent refurbishment of this spacious Victorian Doctor's family home and it shows. It is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Andover (with plenty of shops, restaurants pubs etc.). However the location is in a very quiet cul de sac and the rear garden is totally private. On arrival we were greeted by Janet who asked us to let her know later if there was anything, however minor, which she should provide for subsequent guests. Try as we might we failed - we had everything we could wish for. It is a very comfortable family home and does not feel at all like a holiday let!"
"Once Again it was a pleasure to stay at Gordons House, A family Xmas dinner that was made so much easier with the facilities provided by Janet, Myself and my family have fallen in love with this house and look forward to returning soon. Value for money is understated. when reviewing this property. Once again Janet thank you for a lovely stay and I apologise for the late review. Sykes Cottages! Well done on finding this Jewel in the Crown"

"A home from home. Had everything we required & more (gorgeous Victoria sponge cake waiting for us on arrival) Ideally situated for all types of holiday. Comfy beds, loads of space, beautiful home."
"All round good service, the house was large, clean and furnished with everything we needed and we had a great time. The weather was poor so we didnt get out and about much but would recommend on the basis of the house."
"We were absolutely delighted to stay in this lovely house on a recent visit to Andover. The welcome was second to none from Janet. The house is spotless and everything you need is provided for. The Home Cinema system was the icing on the cake, Oh I forgot the very large delicious sponge cake we found on arrival as a welcome from Janet and her family. I have booked for next year summer and xmas. The house is ideal for the local town (2 min) , train station (5 min) all on foot. If you want a hassle free holiday Gordons house is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed."
