The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. Outside there is roadside parking for one car, a rear lawned garden with furniture and barbecue and shared use of the owners' one acre garden. Damson Croft is an ideal base for visiting many tourist attractions close by. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

"We very much enjoyed our stay in Damson Croft; the surroundings were so peaceful and it was a very relaxing retreat with our two teenage boys. The grounds are lovely and, even though some of the days we stayed were quite wet, it was super to go out exploring and return to the warm environment of the cottage which is very well equipped - a real home from home! The absence of shower, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer didn't phase us - it was actually quite refreshing to wash up and to not have to think about laundry - after all, we were on holiday! The nearby towns have a wealth of high quality restaurants and facilities and we were certainly never stuck for something to do. We definitely plan to stay there again, so that is a testament to how great the place is..."
