Reviews
"We have stayed at The Annexe for the last 4 years - and we think it's just perfect! We are always assured of a warm welcome, and there is everything we need for a comfortable stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and well kept. The kitchen has a double oven and hob, microwave and everything you'd need to make a nice meal. A dining table and comfy sofa in the living room/dining area, complete with TV, DVD Player and stereo provide plenty of indoor relaxation, and a patio window opens onto a quiet outdoor area where one can chill out with a nice drink. The bathroom has a really good shower unit, and again everything is spotless. Upstairs there is a decent sized wardrobe, plenty of drawer space and a comfortable double bed with fresh bedding. As the property is within a private courtyard, it's very quiet and peaceful too. The owner only lives next door, so if anything is needed help is not far away. The Annexe is located in Topcliffe, a gorgeous village with a Post Office and Convenience Store, a couple of pubs/restaurants and farms selling local produce. There are also good links to the local area and nearby attractions. Locationwise, there is Thirsk nearby, offering a large array of local, independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Northallerton is not far and has a lovely market twice a week. The North Yorkshire Moors aren't far away, so if walking and cycling is your thing, you'll be spoilt for choice. And of course, York is only half an hour away with a wealth of history, shops, bars, restaurants and museums. This is perfect for a couple, or a single holidaymaker, an ideal base from which amazing memories can be made! We'll be back!"
"This cottage has been refurbished to high standards and was well appointed in an ideal location with patio doors opening to a small sitting area. We were met by the owner on our arrival and received a warm welcome. From Toplcliffe it easy to explore the Dales and the North Yoks Moors as well as the Vale of York and Howardian hills."
