"Rose cottage is the perfect holiday destination.Lovely village setting, gorgeous secluded garden and so peaceful. Lis, the owner made us feel really welcome and we had a great week. Hoping to visit again this year."
"This is a lovely cottage with loads of character. An open coal fire for the cold evenings just added a perfect touch. Really enjoyed our stay. Had the best nights sleep in the double bed, but be prepared the single beds mattress have been sat on a little too much on the sides, so unless you lay in the middle you may tip off!. Its lovely and spacious, a lovely enclosed garden front and back. The owner is really nice. Piercebridge Roman fort was only a very sort walk away. On Orange and o2 there was basically no phone signal at all. The organic farm shop sells the papers."
"This was a place that you would love to own yourself. The latout was good, the rooms were of good size and the garden was lovely. A farm shop was next door that also had a little cafe. Stayed here for the Roman ruins. Only down fall was if you had 6 people staying was not enough cutlery."

"Everything about this place is ideal...Large roomy cottage with secluded garden. Set back from the road so little disturbance from noise...all in all a most welcome stay."
"lovely and confortable cottage, large and pretty garden with flowers. Very quiet place. We really enjoyed it."
"During our many visits to the dales, this cottage has proven to be a very comfortable and convenient base, with a very dog friendly garden and being ideally located to visit our families in North Yorkshire. It is situated in an interesting village with an inn and a hotel both serving good meals. There are good walks from the door, especially by the river and the remains of the roman fort. We have stayed at Rose cottage several times and will be back for another enjoyable stay."

"tHE COTTAGE WAS BRILLIANT. iT WAS SOME THING OUT OF JANE AUSTIN tHE COAL FIRE ADDED THAT MAGIC TOUCH. THERE WAS A FARM SHOP NEARBY, GREAT BUT A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THE LOCAL CARBERRY ARMS WAS GREAT, THE FOOD AMAZING AND THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. I CERTAINLY WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK THERE"
"Everything to a very high standard. Accomodation and gardens lovely. Used the open coal fire most nights for the novalty factor rather than needing the warmth. Minor problem with fridge door but pressume this is fixed now. Area brilliant for local walks. Would love to go again."
"My husband and myself plus Edward the Border Collie cross had a brilliant week in Rose Cottage back in August 2008. Not too far away from home (about hour or so) we arrived in Piercebridge with a little apprehension as its not the prettiest of villages. We found Rose Cottage and the owner was there to greet us. She was so lovely and friendly. When she left it was just like being in our own little piece of heaven...set back from the road, huge and secure front garden and driveway...great enclosed back garden....secluded and very peaceful !! Inside was cosy, clean and very well presented. Great walks around the area, plenty to do but ultimately a fantastic retreat to just relax...read a book...dog was safe to wander in gardens...glass of wine...fab !! Weather could have been better, but thats the UK for you. I would have no hestation in recommending Rose Cottage. I highly commend it !!!"
