"My son, dog and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage. The location is superb! If you are looking for stunning, dramatic scenery with an abundance of wildlife at your feet, a cosy, remote but not isolated place to retreat from the hustle and bustle... this little place will do the trick! We spotted a seal, a pair of otters (every morning at day break) and lots of different birds. Walked out of the front door straight onto the beach. Up the hill through the woods to the otter hide. Down the road to the footpath, past the river, old stone cottage remains and back out onto the end of the beach where you can find a waterfall! Skye also has a lot to offer, we visited Portree, Broadford the local town and went to the 'fairy pools' at Brittle; they were stunning, freezing cold and gave you wonderful views of the Cullins. The cottage and it's location offered us everything we wanted so we didn't venture away a great deal, a car is a must regardless and a stock up of groceries in Kyle or Broadford if you haven't packed it a good idea. Nb: Fuel is available from Broadford and is substantially cheaper than Kyle on the main land so no need to panic buy unless your running empty. My son and I both agreed that the road leading to Kylerhae reminds us of a postman pat road. It is however a little hair raising in places and despite the awesome views it's probably wise to concentrate solely on the road the first time you navigate it. All in all a fantastic property, owned and run by a wonderful family who make it their goal to ensure you have a great holiday. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending 1a Kylerhae to anyone interested in this type of holiday. Superb! Dorset, England"

"If you like solitude then this is the place for you all you can hear is the sound of the water lapping on the shore and the birds calling, with the odd fishing boat coming and going. The walks are wonderful either along the shore or through the forest taking in the Otter hide along the way. Unfortunately we did not see any Otters but we did see Seals and a couple of Dolphin along with a short glimpse of the Northern Lights, to be fair that was the reason we choose this spot and we were not disappointed. The cottage was warm and welcoming on our arrival with wine and Ginger cookies waiting for us and well equipped and clean. Just be aware it is isolated with the nearest facilities about 10 miles away it was not a problem for us just as we like it. Go on give your soul at treat."

"I booked this cottage with the minimum of fuss, and when we arrived I was not disappointed. It was cosy and warm once the heaters were on. The Wifi was a plus as well. The location - out of this world - a few yards to the sea. We never saw any of the advertised wildlife, but we were there at a time when they wouldn't be so active. The road was interesting getting to the cottage but not impossible."
