Bridgnorth is an interesting market town of two distinct halves separated by a red sandtone ridge - The High Town and the Low Town. The two halves are linked by meandering streets and steep steps, and the sheer funicular railway allows visitors to glimpse "the finest view in all my kingdom", as Charles I put it. There is a lively Saturday market which showcases the local fayre, and the River Severn which flows beneath the precipitous castle ruins offers many lovely walks. The steam and diesel engines of the Severn Valley Railway run between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster through pretty country stations. Bridgnorth is surrounded by an abundance of country parks, historic houses, interesting museums and chocolate box Shropshire villages, and also affords ease of access to the 10 museums of Ironbridge Gorge and the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford. The vibrant destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton are within easy reach, and the surrounding area offers its visitor superb walking and cycling opportunities.

"I used to spend my childhood in Quatford & decided to go back to see how things are now, we stayed at The Brewhouse , just behind The Danery pub.it was a lovely place, it had everything you could ask for, lovely decor and all very clean.A fab fitted open plan kitchen with fridge and microwave and oven / lounge area with tv and sofa which doubled as a sofa bed .lovely twin bedroom and bathroom with a shower. We had our own garden area with patio tables and umbrella. When we woke in the morning we had a fantastic view of hills and trees and in the evening you could see the wild rabbits out on the hills. It was great being right next door to a pub, just pop along for a perfect cold pint!."
"Myself, husband and dog Molly stayed in the Brewhouse from 3-10 May Its only small but has everything you need - I personally though don't think its suitable for 4 people. There are lovely views from the French doors and its a delight to sit out in the private garden. The water was always hot. We dined in the Danery and it was fantastic! The Brewhouse is in a very nice location with plenty to do and see."
