The coastal village of Robin Hood's Bay is situated between Scarborough and Whitby on the Yorkshire coastline. It has narrow cobbled streets and charming fisherman's cottages all intertwined with the alleyways and fitted into the nooks and crannies of the village. The backdrop to this fishing village is stunning with dramatic cliffs and moorland scenery at the edge of a wide sweeping bay. The beach and cliffs offer some tremendous walks, and various footpaths and trails pass through the area, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Cleveland Way being two of the most popular. The amenities in the village are excellent, and there are attractions for all interests and ages. Robin Hood's Bay is a superb base for an enjoyable holiday in this fabulous area.

"Robin Hoods Bay is a place from History and a little bit of Heaven. This stunning Bay has amenities for most, Lovely Local Pubs, Good Ale and Food, Clean Public Toilets, and a Panoramic Bay that doesn't seem to have changed since my last visit as a child in 1947 / 8 / 9. Lot's of steep Pathways and lovely Cottages to see, if you are a walker. But the Bay as a whole, oozes peace. The Cottage was just lovely, the place we sometimes dream of retiring to. Everything was provided just needed to move in with some food from the little lovely local shop,(20 yards away), that seemed to have everything, from a Bucket & Spade to Newspapers, a wide range of Food, and run by lovely owners."

"This cottage was labelled 'Quirky' and that it is! The very steep spiral stairway leading one to 3 floors is hazardous.Bedrooms are very comfortable , but dirty windows prevented us enjoying the only distant view! Irequested more hand rails at access points to the stairs as they were dangerous for us elderlies Heating and TV were effective however the fridge was not plugged into the wall socket - so our weeks meat supply was endangered. Very unfortunate. We excelled ourselves with country walks and beach coves and jet hunts as well as road trips to the .WC Rugby. Sadly the cottage lacks comfortable seating for 4 in the lounge and more so a view of the sea - just a host of downpipes from the victorian era.!! delightful as they were. However the neighbouring tightly presented Fisherman homes and gardens were delightful"
