Meadow View, FILEY

"This is the third time we have stayed at The Bay but the first time in this cottage. It was easy to book and collect the key and we found everything inside clean and tidy. The cottage is situated on the main road into the complex and does have a view of the meadow between the gap in the houses on the opposite side of the road. It opens onto a large shared lawned area to the rear. The rear patio does not get sun but the cottage itself is still bright as the sun is on the front of it all day. The cottage has a good wifi signal and is well equipped with a washer, dishwasher & TVs in 3 rooms. The owners have added personal touches and there are games etc for the kids, which we didn't find at the other accommodation that we stayed in previously. It is nicely decorated and was spacious enough for our family of 4 and 2 small dogs. The Bay is great for dog owners as it has the meadow on site and the wonderful beach can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. There is still building works at The Bay but it didn't disturb us as the houses around this one are all finished now. We used the leisure pass to swim at the pool for free. Being a weekend and the start of the Easter school holidays it was quite busy but was a pleasant way of passing a rainy afternoon. Overall I would recommend the cottage and will look forward to a return visit."

"Meadow View was a very modern, well equipped cottage with a lot of little extras in the cottage, for example a barbeque, welcome tea, coffee and bicuits and a wii to name a few. It was lovely and clean and well set out. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area when I contacted him to arrange key collection The site the cottage is on "The Bay" is lovely. Very tidy and peaceful, has a lovely beach and "The Meadow" was lovely to walk around. We used the swimming pool lots and had tea at the pub and lunch at the cafe, all of which were very good. There were lots of other activities including archery, tennis, a gym and beauty salon which we ran out of time to use. The location of the cottage was ideal being close to Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and close enough to drive to Bridlington or Pickering, Goathland and Dalby Forest. Although we didn't take our dogs this time it was very dog friendly and they were welcomed even in the cafe and pub! We would love to go again and stay at "Meadow View" and will probably take the dogs next time."

"Really enjoyed our stay for a week, all mod cons, clean, quiet, Ideal for all family types enjoyed the pool and steam room,my two dogs have never walked so much, the meadow walk is ideal for them.I saw more wildlife than you could imagine. Will reccomend to all my family and friends, as is ideal for the Wolds, coast, or moors, whatever you want really."

"Meadow view is actualy no 23 the parade on your left as you enter the bay filey A lovely property very clean and boasting Freeview tv in the lounge And all bedrooms. We had a realy good stay in appaulling weather (snow and ice) yet this cottage was lovely and warm and cosy. There is an italian resturant in the village and a pub whith good food just up the road towards Bridlington only a few miles away. As is Scarbourough and the Noth York Moors and Whitby, great fish and chips in Filey We didnt mind the weather and had a realy relaxing break. I would reccomend this cottage to friends and family"
