Reviews
"Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a break away! Enclosed garden for dogs and lots of little walks around the village. Not far to travel to places in the lakes for days out! Perfect weekend break."
"The Granary was absolutely beautiful! very modern decor, completely spotless, every you could possibly need was provided! milk, sugar, tea, coffee was provided which made the first night very easy! a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates were also provided which was a lovely touch! A gas BBQ was also provided and was very easy to use! the local area is absolutely lovely, on a working farm which was lovely to explore!!! the owners were extremely lovely and welcoming! there is very easy access off road parking, right by the cottage! overall it was an absolutely lovely place with lots to do and see in the surrounding area! and on rainy days the cottage was lovely to relax in! i will be returning, this place is perfect!!!!! excellent value for money!"
"The cottage is absolutely immaculate, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it is not within walking distance of a pub or even a shop."
"My girlfriend and I stayed here for 7 nights in October. We were given a warm welcome and loved our stay. The cottage is very well maintained and offers everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Whilst the tight winding stair cases would be difficult for those less able, we thought it only added to the charm of the property. Facilities were excellent, full kitchen with everything you need, fire, big TV, lovely big bath, and lots of ideas for days out. Although the cottage is attached to the owners main house we were left to enjoy ourselves in complete privacy with a private garden and entrance. They were very helpful and approachable which definitely makes it a more enjoyable experience. Set in beautiful country side, the only slightly negative thing we can think of is maybe a little too secluded. Nearest pub (that we found) is driving distance. Will definitely recommended to friends and family and return sometime in the future."
"We spent a week here as our last trip before our first baby arrived. It was a really lovely place to stay, romantic, relaxing and exactly what we needed. It was a great spot for exploring the Lake District but also for hunkering down and doing very little except eating Snap fish and chips (it made us both want a roll top bath in the bedroom at home!) The owners are welcoming and generous (it was my husband's birthday and they left us wine and chocolates to celebrate). Highly recommended."
"From the minute you arrive until that sad moment you leave this Cottage is charming, warm and has those extra special touches that leaves you relaxed. Whether it's a short break or a week away this rural diamond is a must stay."
"Perfect service. Highest standards of fittings. A little bit remote but good pubs, towns and walks by driving . Very good for dog."
"We loved the cottage, the owners were very kind and helpful, their dog was wonderful Ollie our dog misses her. A perfect situation to get to all the lakes without staying in the middle of it all as it get a little crowded at times. The bath in the bedroom is very good for drinking wine in while watching tv. We will go again very soon we hope."
"We had a fantastic christmas week, so relaxing. Everything we needed would highly recommend this cottage."
