This detached cottage overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is just two miles from the pretty village of Kilcar, on the stunning Muckros Peninsula in Donegal and can sleep 12 people (8 adults) in five bedrooms. Five bedrooms: 2 x double (one with en-suite shower, basin and WC), 2 x ground floor twin, 1 x ground floor family room with 2 children's bunks. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. First floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area (seats 6) and sitting area (seats 4) with open fire. Utility. First floor sitting room (seats 7) with open fire and pool table.

The cottage has two ground floor twin bedrooms, a ground floor room with two bunk beds, two double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room), a ground floor shower room, a first floor basin and WC, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area (seats 6) and sitting area (seats 4) with an open fire, a utility and an additional sitting area (seats 7) with an open fire and a pool table. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a shared lawned area to the front. With the beach just 1 mile away, An Nead House is a wonderful holiday base. The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Free-to-air channels, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for fires inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Shared lawned area to front. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Beach 1 mile. Note: The bunk beds are suitable for children or teenagers. Note: Driveway shared with cottage next door. Note: Max. 8 adults.

The village of Kilcar sits at one of the most westerly points of County Donegal. It is a peaceful village that comes to life in the evening with traditional music being a regular feature in many of the local taverns, and "Ceol na gConallach - The Donegal Sessions" running every Saturday night through the summer months in the local theatre.

"The house was really great. Plenty of sleeping accommodation and sitting rooms (2) with views out to sea. Beautiful. The area was peaceful and there were a couple of small beaches within walking distance of the house. The kitchen was very good and proper and the cupboards were filled with basic food needs, eg, pasta, biscuits, sauces, flour, some tinned goods, cereals. Facilities for laundry etc. most appreciated. We had lovely neighbours in the wee house next door. There is not much garden, but you have all of Donegal on your doorstep! Great"
