Lavender Cottage is situated at the rear of the owner's home, but boasts its own entrance, driveway and private patio area. With one double bedroom with an en-suite, it sleeps two comfortably. There is also an open plan living area with lovely views out to the garden, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is a private patio area and shared use of the owner's garden, as well as off road parking for one car. Lavender Cottage is a great base for a romantic break exploring this part of Dartmoor. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Off road parking for 1 car. Private patio with furniture plus shared use of owner's garden. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk.

"We had booked lavender cottage from 27th September, 2014 for one week. The cottage was not as advertised by Sykes, there was no en-suite to the bedroom, oil Central heating which was included in the price, you had no control over as the controls were in the owners own property, in 3 days the heating was only put on for approx 30 minutes this was on day of arrival. Also there was no smoke detectors in the cottage the fire blanket was found in the cupboard behind the waste bin, and there was no cleaner or broom to keep the place tide.
There was no private patio area only a walk through to there own property, which was of and approx 5 feet wide with one very old wooden chair and little table. Situated against a stone wall
The cooker and oven was dirty, cob webs everywhere dead flies and daddy long legs and the curtains were hanging down where the hooks were broken.
