The Old Stables is a delightful cottage, adjoined to the owners' historic 16th century timber-framed home in the attractive Shropshire village of Knockin and can sleep two people. This all ground floor cottage has one double bedroom, a shower room with underfloor heating and an open plan living area with a kitchen with underfloor heating, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside there is off road parking for one car, lockable bike storage and an enclosed courtyard patio with furniture and a barbecue. The Old Stables is a wonderful base for your romantic holiday. A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Lockable bike storage. Enclosed courtyard patio with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop which is 1.5 miles away so 5 minutes in the car or 20 - 30 mins by foot. The pub is 500 yards Note: This property is suitable for babes-in-arms only.

Knockin is a lovely village, well situated between Shrewsbury and Oswestry and close to the England/Wales border. Knockin benefits from St Mary's Church, a lovely 12th century church, a village shop known as ‘The Knockin Shop' and the Bradford Arms pub, where you can enjoy good food. This is a lovely base for touring Shropshire.
