Situated at the centre of West Wales amidst a superb mix of rolling countryside, the ancient coastal town of Kidwelly is beautifully set between glistening seashores and tranquil woodland. Kidwelly Castle is a great place to visit, as is the fascinating Heritage Museum. There is also the fascinating Wildfowl and Wetlands Park, the scenic Brecon Beacons and the vibrant town of Llanelli to visit, making this a wonderfully varied location.
Reviews
"What a Beautiful cottage and surroundings the cottage is clean and well decorated you are made extremely welcome throughout the stay. It is ideally situated for many surrounding attractions. Perfect in every way!"
"We stayed here for 1 week in June 2014. We travelled as an extended family with 2 dogs. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard. It is wonderful to stay in such a quality well equipped house where dogs are welcome. The garden is large and completely enclosed which takes nothing away from the stunning views but gives the freedom and peace of mind for children and dogs . This makes life so relaxing. The beaches are stunning at pen bry country park 8 miles in total. 6 of which are dog friendly. Rhossili beach is well worth the journey Machynys golf course is excellent should you wish to play We were fortunate to have glorious weather for the whole week, this meant picnics daily and eating outside at the cottage in the mornings and the evenings.....fabulous. We would love to return it really was that good. The hot tub felt such a treat too."
"The photos of this property and gardens do not do it justice. The barn conversion is very large, beautifully decorated and furnished with every detail attended to. My two young children enjoyed the play area and duck pond and I felt they were safe in the enclosed garden. Hot tub a bonus - nice and private from the road. Great location. Close to beach, castles and main town. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant holiday and will go again."
"We have stayed here once before, we loved it so much we just had to come back. The hosts are so attentive, the cottage is ideal as so is the location for travelling around. Very comfortable cottage, and the hot tub is ideal after a long day out! Everything is thought of. Will definately visit again."
"We stayed here March 2013, had one day of poor weather but the rest of the week was fabulous (a little chilly but the roaring fire every evening made it feel like we could have been in a hot country). The setting is marvellous, so tranquil but with life around us (hence the working farm element) so it doesn't feel too remote. So much to see and do in the local area we're going to have to go back again soon to fill the gaps. Highlights were Pembury country park with its gorgeous 8 miles of sandy beach, Bury Ports pretty harbour and the restaurant (brasserie) in the golf club spa (Machynys) in Llanelli and Carmarthen for good shopping. As well as St David's and Tenby. Children absolutely love it, to see the animals, tractor, water birds, birds if prey and a park in the garden was fantastic, my daughter was not bored for a minute. She even ventured up to the bit tub for a look but didn't fancy going in, we left that to Daddy. Such friendly and welcoming proprietors and the facilities and quality of the cottage made it feel like 5* luxury, it was really a fantastic place to stay. I will be recommending it to all my friends and family. Cannot praise highly enough."

"Every thing in a cottage, that you could possibly want and in the most wonderful scenery."
"This was our first stay at Elder Cottage but second visit to Morfa Bach Farm Cottages and all cottages are of a very high standard. The cottage has the benefit of excellent facilities and a good central position to explore South West Wales. A car is essential as the property is situated approx 2 miles off a main road, but the walks in the immediate area are wonderful. Tips for places to visit while you stay include: Gower - amazing beaches and scenery Pembrey Country Park - very local 10 min drive, great beach and activities for the family Carmarthen - local major town and nearest cinema (for those wet days!) Castles - with six castles in a 30 mile radius you're spoilt for choice, our personal favourite is Dinefwr. We have already booked our third returning visit to Morfa Bach Farm Cottages and would not hesitate in recommending to others."
