Reviews
"This is an amazing cottage. We stayed over the Christmas period and were so comfortable and warm. It is in quite a beautiful and reasonably remote location. We even had snowfall which made it quite magical. Very comfortable accommodation comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and large bathroom. Hosts very friendly and helpful. A great holiday cottage."
"My sister, husband and I stayed at Glen Cottage with our 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew. Claire, the owner was great with lots of communication before we arrived as it is a little off the beaten track. The cottage was beautifully renovated and absolutely immaculate and plenty big enough for us all. The farm was great for the kids who had so much fun playing safely with the 2 dogs. It is a beautiful location in the countryside and while you need a car, it is close enough to Buxton, Alton Towers, Matlock and all the other fun things to do in the area. We were visiting from Canada so it was exactly what we needed to spend quality time with our family, do activities with the kids, as well find peace and quiet when we needed it. Would definitely recommend and would visit again when we are back in the UK. Thanks Claire and family you are wonderful hosts!"
"the couple that run this farm cottage were very nice people and very helpfull in all aspects, and the cottage was very nice, spaciuos and clean."
"Warm, well-equipped, cosy cottage in rolling countryside. Quiet getaway with friendly owners including the dogs and turkeys! Well-equipped kitchen, lovely large bathroom, gorgeous double bedroom. Everything you could need has been provided."
"very comfortable cottage great area for walking brilliant hosts nothing was too much trouble"
"Greeted when we arrived very welcoming. House very clean and easy to live in. Although the owners lived nearby they gave us plenty of space to come and go as we pleased This was a very remote cottage but easy to go from and to. We had no children with us but they would have enjoyed the farm yard animals. We have already given a review on this holiday in June"
"The owners were there for every need and were very friendly. Cottage is lovely and very homely, set in a beautiful picture postcard location. Great for walks and relaxing. I couldnt recommend highly enough, we will definately be back soon!"
"The cottage was in a nice quiet location outside Longnor, and had everything we required for our week's stay. The owners were very friendly and chatted to us on a regular basis. On the Monday of our visit, the TV programme 'Countryfile' to film about the farm which was most interesting. Julia Bradbury was the presenter and she was very friendly and spoke to us all and answered some questions we had about her exploits. All in all a very enjoyable stay,"
"On-line booking was so easy and when I rang the owner to arrange key collection we chatted like old friends. The cottage was well appointed, nicely decorated and very cosy. Our grandchildren loved their bedrooms and enjoyed going out to see the animals, especially the turkeys. It was quiet and safe for the grandchildren and all the tourist attractions were within reasonable driving distance. Supermarkets, too, were relatively close; just a few miles. Longnor has a small store and deli for emergencies. Everything about our stay was brilliant and the owner was so friendly and helpful. The only small quibble is that the raised kitchen area resulted in a few stumbles, but we would certainly choose to stay there again."
"Great Hosts, lovely weather, great location..all in all, just what the doctor ordered. Thanks so much"
