Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf river estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market.
Reviews
"This is the third time we have stayed at the cottage. It is very comfortable and equipped to a very high standard. The location is perfect with great parking, particularly if you have visitors. Many attractions within easy access, including great beaches, castles and beautiful countryside. It is pet friendly and the owners are only a phone call away if you need them. Would heartily recommend this for a relaxing break."
"Quality end of terrace cottage with a home from home feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was well appointed to the local pubs and shops in the village plus a short walk to Dylan Thomas boathouse."
