"My wife and I stayed at Miller's Lodge for a week in late March 2012. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage is well furnished / equipped, comfortable and clean. The location is peaceful and good as a centre for exploring East Cornwall but is very remote with no shops / restaurants within walking distance. Also bear in mind that there's no wi-fi or mobile reception, being disconnected for a week helped with the relaxation and the odd trip to Liskeard to get an iPad / iPhone fix wasn't too much of a chore. Overall we'd highly recommend the cottage as a base for a relaxing break."

"Miller's Lodge was an ideal holiday cottage. The local rail link, with station halt nearby, was a great bonus as was the superb restaurant/hotel, the Well House, situated aout a mile away and easily accessible on foot. The cottage itself contained everything and we could not have asked for more, even the weather was perfect! The "Marvellous Music Machines" exhibition within the grounds also proved to be very interesting and the owner was very knowledgeable about his collection. All in all: excellent!"

"We could not have asked for more on this holiday, the cottage was warm cosy and comfortable and very secluded. Everything was provided for us. Even though we experienced all sorts of weather conditions, snow, rain, hail and sunshine we had a lovely time. The owners who lived next door we very helpful and the wine, tea, coffee and biscuits were very much appreciated."

"We received a warm welcome. The property was newly refurbished to a good standard, very clean but small and felt cramped. This probably seemed worse due to the large furniture. The kitchen was well appointed but in our opinion was too large in relation to the rest of the property."

"Really magical peaceful little place with a river running behind it and the tiny station on the line to Looe 50 metres away. Really clean with everything ,and more, you need. Friendly welcoming owners and the fabulous Musical Machine museum attached, free guided tour included. Perfect for a couple with room for one child. Brilliant beaches within 30 minutes driving. Can not think of one bad thing about it!! It is pretty isolated so a drive to shops etc but I think that is part of its charm."

"Superbly equipped and finished. Quiet location even though close to station. Train stops on request for pleasant trip into Looe and avoids taking car into village. Very pleasant owners."
