The cottage also has off road parking for two cars and a gravelled courtyard with furniture. Snowdrop Cottage is a convenient base for walks in the area, and for visiting lovely towns and villages that are dotted throughout the region. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The village of Brompton-by-Sawdon is situated between Scarborough and Pickering on the edge of the Forge Valley. The village offers stone-built cottages, a butcher and country inns. Close by is the historic market town of Malton which boasts quaint shopping streets and beaches, and within driving distance is Scarborough.

"Snowdrop Cottage is a great rural retreat. Set in a perfect location for scenic walks, cosy evenings in and visits to several seaside towns. The cottage itself is very tasteful, clean and full of character. Fully furnished for our three night stay with linen, towels and logs for the wood burning stove. On arrival at the cottage we were greeting with complimentary breakfast items, mulled wine and chocolates. The owner kindly left a fact sheet offering suggestions for local walks, pubs and points of interest. Our three night stay over New Year 2014 was better than we could have than expected. We would not hesitate to recommend Snowdrop cottage to others looking for somewhere to stay in North Yorkshire."
