Reviews
"My partner and I really enjoyed our stay, there were a few things that could have made it better, a few personal touches, like a few tea bags or some local produce, a pint of milk or something would have been appreciated. We found crossing the road easy enough as long as it wasn't rush hour. The only issue we did have was a leaking pipe, leaking is probably quite a nice term as when my partner opened the cupboard it sprayed him in the face. This was the night before we left. This could have been dealt with better as the emergency contact didn't know how to turn the water off etc, and we were up for 3 hours plus keeping the leak from damaging anything, this was in the middle of the night. We weren't offered a couple of extra hours on top of the check out time which would have been appreciated. We didn't receive a thank you for ensuring there was no damage and drying the bathroom out, I also didn't receive a response to the text I sent thanking the emergency contact for her help. It was lovely and clean, I just think a few more nice touches would have been appreciated"
"A nice spot ideal for exploring this part of the Peak District. The decor is very well maintained and the nearby A6 can hardly be heard unless you open the windows. However the kitchen facilities are at the basic end of the spectrum and having some little add ons like basic condiments would make a big difference."
"Just had a lovely week in this pretty cottage. Only negative was the busy A6 which you had to cross to get to the car park opposite. But as long as you used the green cross code all ok. The pictures don't do the cottage justice. "
