Reviews
"Just had a very relaxing holiday in the Stables Very spacious, comfortable and cosy, all one level A very peaceful quiet holiday This is our second visit to this farm, we stayed in the barn last time We hoping to return next year We had a problem with the car battery and the owner loaned us a battery till we could buy another battery. Thank you very much"
"Have just come back from a week at The Stables. I can't think when I have ever stayed in a more comfortable cottage - it was spacious, beds were comfy (very important!), chairs as well. The living/dining/kitchen area is open-plan and all the equipment that you might want is provided. I preferred the kitchen to my own! My partner has mobility issues so the fact that it is all on one level is excellent. The bathroom is very warm and the towels that are provided are excellent and dried quickly! It was very quiet as well. Can recommend the home-cooked ready meals from near-by Cedar Barn Farm as well."
"We had a lovely holiday with our grandchildren. We went over the august Bank Holiday when Thornton-le-Dale has a scarecrow festival and that was great fun. We were within easy reach of the coast and the weather was also good! The cottage is lovely and the children were well away from the working part of the farm and there was an enclosed grassed area for them to play in with sit on toys provided. It is a lovely peaceful area and I would definitely recommend it.The manager was very helpful and friendly and very patient with the children who often visited his office!"
