There is a family bathroom, an additional cloakroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for one car plus guest parking, along with a patio and communal grounds plus on-site facilities including a heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, tennis courts and more. Maris Cottage makes a great year-round family base. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The Bay near Filey is an attractive modern development with an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym. Other facilities include tennis courts, fishing and a putting green. A coffee shop and pub serving food offer refreshment, and for family fun, the sandy beach is on the doorstep. The Bay makes a great holiday base.

"Have just returned from this lovely cottage break and will definitely go back. There is everything you need. Very specious for 6 adults and 3 children . The beds are very comfy . A tv in every room. Everything you want in a kitchen. Could not believe how good it was. Lovely swimming pool on site. Restaurant and a pub serving food . The only thing that it needed is a good play ground for the little ones "
"Stayed at Maris Cottage at The Bay just outside Filey,the area was great ,walking distance from the beach,the facilities available were okay,but could have a better park for the younger kids, the pub was okay,but the beers were flat and glasses not clean,the Cottage was very comfortable,the beds were good, thank you for a great comfortable stay will return in the future."
"Maris cottage has everything you need. Stayed with family, 8 adults ,a one year old and a dog .The site is beautiful and well kept . Enjoyed our daily walk down to the beach and trips into nearby seaside towns. The pub on site serves excellent food and good value for money , need to book as always busy . Nothing bad to say about this property or complex ."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in maris cottage. Accommodation was great , very clean and comfortable nothing to fault. Twenty minute walk to lovely beach and then half hour walk along beach into old Filey. Swimming pool and steam room on site excellent , also tennis courts, cafe, pub and chemist. All staff very friendly and helpful. Liked everything about the holiday."
