Reviews
"Our family of eight stayed here and had a lovely time. The house is a barn conversion and has plenty of space. It's an 'upside down' house with the bedrooms on the ground floor and living areas and kitchen on the split first floor. The garden is huge, enclosed with plenty of seating and a barbecue. The surroundings are peaceful with wheat fields. The lady who looked after the property was pleasant and courteous. We found the house clean and tidy. The bathroom facilities were first class. The only downside being we would have liked more double beds to for our four couples and would suggest the use of zip-link beds instead of singles which would give greater flexibility for customers. The house was close to the city of Hereford and not that far from any of the lovely market towns in the county. A great place to stay and explore Herefordshire."
"my hubby and i were invited to stay here last December, with some other people. our own views were that whilst the accommodation is rather lovely, spacious and clean, it kind of fell short on a few points. Firstly it was freezing cold when we arrived- there is a log burner you have to light, or wait till the central heating comes on at pre set times only- 4pm till 9pm and 6am till 9am. The log burner when lit and got going was fine but the owners only seem to provide enough logs for an initial evenings burn-you have to buy more in if you are staying a few days. Also, the barn itself would challenge someone with mobility issues- there are steps up and down all throughout the accommodation.. the kitchen did to some extent fall short on both space and items, given that the accommodation is for up to twelve people, it was quite a small kitchen. It would be a nicer venue in the summer, as a kind of house party, to make use of the outdoor areas. it is a bit tucked out of the way, there is a garage cum shop about half a mile away and Hereford is about 4 to five miles away. Perhaps a little overpriced on the winter rental, in the light of our comments?"
"my husband and I stayed with friends for a long weekend (their views aren't necessarily the same as ours). it was a very nice appointed barn with plenty of room, but.. when we arrived it was freezing cold inside as no heating on!! it transpires that t]you have to either wait til the preset and pre-timed central heating comes on (6am till 9am and then not till 4pm till 9pm) or light the log burner. The owners only leave you enough logs for approx. on evenings burning so you need to buy more logs if you are there longer. Also there would be some access issues for anyone with a mobility issue , as there are lots of steps up and down inside the barn. its clean and spacious, but we feel perhaps more suited to a summer house party when you could make more use of the outdoor space. its a bit remote,- about 6 miles from Hereford and there is just a pub and a garage/shop about half a mile aways the rental perhaps a little too expensive?"
"Lots of room ,quite a few steps so not for the very old, or infirm, great views ,great garden, loads of parking.Showers and baths super. Not enough glasses,or breakfast/pudding bowls.great kitchen.Just far enough off of the main road to be quiet ,but very well located for access to all local atractions.Local Londis at the garage is an Aladins cave.Hereford for Tesco 4 miles, local pubs. The shoes is a juicer with pub grub,The Kilpeck inn is a (gastro)pub /restaurant,but very welcoming. All in all a great break."
