Situated on the Lleyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking is the attractive harbour town of Abersoch. Set between two glorious bays, this is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales hosting important sailing regattas throughout the summer months. The town also contains a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst water sports enthusiasts are well-catered for in the region. Windsurfing, water-skiing and dinghy sailing are all readily available around Abersoch, whilst the more daring might be interested in the renowned surfing at Hell's Mouth. If you prefer to spend you time by the sea in a more sedate manner the region also boasts a number of ‘family friendly' sandy beaches including Warren beach, sheltered Porth Bach and Porth Ceriad, with its dramatic, towering cliffs.
Reviews
"Rented this property via Sykes cottages. Not at all clean. Cobwebs and spiders in every room. Worst of all cobwebs in the kitchen. There were stains on the floor in the bedroom were our 6 and 4 yrs old slept. At the age children have a tendency to play on the floor. Unfortunately it was very difficult to let them as there was dust, dirt and dead insects on the floors. There was stains on all the soft furnishings the lounge area. The sofas had seen better days for sure. There was a horrible visible stain at the back of the radiator in the dining area. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a number of weeks. Plus the house could do with a fresh lick of paint. Also the external dustbin seemed to be a shared bin with other properties and was overflowing with rubbish bags from the day we arrived and until we left. Which is not ideal at all for a self catering property. "
"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had all kitchen equipment that was required including high chair/microwave/dishwasher There is back yard with a small BBQ and a small front garden looking onto a field with table and chairs The garden is kept tidy The cottage is about 5 minutes drive from Abersoch Town centre and has parking for 1 car The walk however from the Town is up a hill all the way and can take about 1--15 minutes so not for people with mobility or health issues The TV in the lounge is very small and there is a DVD player"
"This cottage is in lovely countryside surroundings having a field to the rear where you can often see cows or sheep grazing. The inside of the cottage was kept to a very high standard and quite spacious. We found we had everything we needed and often enjoyed sitting outside in the garden to have a sunbathe and relax. The owners were very helpful with comprehensive directions to reach the cottage. We also enjoyed the walk into Abersoch which doesn't take too long from the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay here."
"We stayed in this cottage in abersoch and found it to be very nice and welcoming with a lovely view of fields to the back. The cottage was clean and comfortable and quite spacious. We found that the kitchen had everything we needed and the location of the cottage was about 10/15 minutes walk from the abersoch village. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return sometime in the future!"
"Enjoyed a great holiday in a cottage perfect for a family with young kids."
"Excellent cottage with everything you need when you have a toddler in tow. Personally I thought the walk back from town a little steep and quite far and the location was very windy (being on top of a hill). If you have good calf muscles and want to stay in a beautiful, well equipped and well thought through cottage then this is definitely the right place."
"Everything was of very good quality and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. The only criticism we had was that we had to pull the double away from the window in order to access it from both sides! Apart from that tiny niggle it was perfect."
"A lovely cottage set on the edge of Abersoch and within easy walking distance if you don,t mind walking up a hill! THe cottage was pleasantly furnished and well equipped. We loved the view from the cottage a nd enjoyed watching the antics of the cows and sheep. If you like peace and quiet this is the place....we are going back to spend time there again"
