Outside is a garden to the front and rear, and parking can be found on the roadside. Appletree Cottage is close to the village pub and shop, and is ideally placed for visiting both the Heritage Coast or the beautiful inland countryside of the Cheviots. Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The village of Chatton is set amongst scenic countryside and offers stone built houses, a small village green, Post Office, an art gallery and a pub. Close by is Alnwick Gardens, the Northumberland National Park and the Heritage Coastline.

"Lovely cottage, well situated in Chatton, only a few miles from Alnwick and Bamburgh castles both of which we visited. Wonderful views. Cottage is very well equipped with lots of extras left by the owners which was really appreciated. We had a very enjoyable weeks stay and would definitely recommend."
"This is a beautiful semi in a beautiful part of the country. There is a small room with sink and washer as you go in then staircase and bathroom on the left and living room on the right. the kitchen diner is through the living room and is very spacious with door to garden and table and chairs. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with 2 beds and a very comfy double bed in the other room. There is everything you will need for a stay here, the owners have left all cleaning products as well and left us some beer, bread and some delicious chocolate biscuits. A delightful holiday and may be back. The pub is 2 minutes away and a shop. Thank you."
