Wellgarth Cottage is a terraced property, one of five situated around a courtyard development in the village of Newby, eight miles from Appleby in Cumbria and opposite the owner's home. This cottage sleeps six people in four bedrooms, consisting of a double with an en-suite bath, a twin and two singles, as well as a main bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and two sitting rooms. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a front patio with furniture. Wellgarth Cottage is an ideal base for a family, with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks, Ullswater, Penrith and the Scottish Borders. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The village of Newby is situated in the Eden Valley, between the northern Pennines and the Lake District. Newby is surrounded by open fields and offers a delightful pond, providing a haven for ducks and wild flowers. Eight miles away is the historic town of Appleby, which is a major stop on the scenic Settle-Carlisle railway line, and boasts 15th Century architecture, a Norman Castle and a 300 year old annual horse fair.
