Reviews
"We needed somewhere to stay to recharge after a busy life in animal rescue. This place is small and compact and fit our needs perfectly. The room was clean and tidy, communication from the owner was fantastic. Amazing views from the surrounding areas. Exactly what we needed. Loved our stay"
"After a year in which I had become 'single again' I wanted somewhere affordable to get away for some fresh air, where I could cook my own food, relax and do lots of hill walking. The studio really lived up to my hopes. For the school holidays, the price was good. Communication was efficient both before the visit and via the written guide. The accommodation is compact but I was impressed with how well everything worked - even down to the sharp chopping knives. The shower was great (welcome after 6 hour walks ) and the owners provided high quality bedding and towels. The internet was easy to set up if a little intermittent at times. Parking is not adjacent to the property but I had no trouble finding somewhere close by. One of the biggest bonuses was being able to go on walks without using the car at all. Bradwell connects the white and dark peak areas so there is a big choice of walking routes. Chapel en le frith is less than 10 miles with two supermarkets whilst Bradwell itself has a decent sized co-op and a generous fish and chip shop. All in all a great week. My only reservation was the lack of stotage space. Even some of the space under the bed was taken up with spare linen and towelswhich meant food had to stay in the shopping bag at the end of the bed. If i went again, I would buy food daily from the co-op. "
"Clean, well equipped and warm (during a cold snap). It has great shower facilities but in spite of being so well provided with all the necessary kitchenalia the room, in our opinion,is just too small if you want to self cater. Living space does not permit of swinging a very small mouse let alone a cat! This place is better suited to those who eat out. The location is great, situated in a quaint back lane in a village well supplied with four pubs and good shops. Bus services here link to good walks and also join up with train service. Excellent walks locally so no need to take the car out if you don't want to."
