A perfect spot for enjoying both a countryside and coastal holiday, the Hampshire village of Milford on Sea has a long, attractive beach with views as far as the Isle of Wight and The Needles, yet is only a short drive to the wonderful walking and cycling of the New Forest National Park. You may even wish to hop on a ferry over to the Isle of Wight itself.
Reviews
"We booked here for Christmas with our daughter and two grandchildren. What an extremely well equipped property, most of the things we brought with us we left in the car. Driftwood is spacious, even with 5 of us it never felt over crowded. It was clean tidy and warm when we arrived, it had even been decorated for Christmas. There is everything you could possibly want in the cottage, the owners have put a lot of love, care and attention into the property so that those that rent it can feel at home, the bonus is having a driveway to park on. The area is quiet, our granddaughter was very excited every time a horse went past the window. The location is brilliant with the beach a short walk away, which we enjoyed on Christmas day, the New Forrest is only a short drive away.It really was home from home for us for Christmas, we had a very restful break, you feel cocooned away from the outside world staying here and you can't help but relax and unwind."
"This is a lovely clean property which offers a great location with the cliffs and beach only a few minutes walk. Rooms are a nice size except the third beroom which is part of the lounge, being seperated by a glass wall and curtains. Would be happier as a holidaymaker with a maximum of 4 guests, but you can sleep 6 if you are happy to use the third bed arrangement. Only negative to the property is not shown in the details, in that it has no front garden, being built on the road, and hence privacy in the bedrooms can only be achieved behind closed curtains. We were unlucky in that for three days of our stay the hospital on the other side of the road had extensive tree surgery being undetaken, and the noise was extensive."
"Really easy place to spend a week at a good price, could walk to the sea, village or countryside. had friends for the day , able to cater for 6, plenty of kitchen equipment. Beds very comfortable, garden lovely and secluded. We really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. Would have gone back for a trip in May but it was already booked! One or two issues with potential hazards - step up from seating area, real trip hazard. On arrival into parking space a low energy sensor light would have helped."
"lovely large clean well equiped holiday home.a real home from home. light and roomy comfortable residence by day, warm and cosy at night. extremely comfortable beds. excellent location. literally a couple of minutes walk to the sea. very pretty, quiet area.a most peaceful holiday. lovely small friendly village, walking distance. lovely local pubs with excellent food.would recommend to all."
"We booked this cottage for ourselves and our four children for Christmas and everything was just perfect. Upon arrival, we noticed that the cottage had even been decorated for Christmas! The cottage was spotlessly clean, but homely, and very very comfortable and relaxing. It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly have needed, from toilet roll to gravy boat! All six of us were very comfortably accomodated; the bedrooms were of good size, and the beds were all proper- no put you ups. The cliffs and the beach were just a short walk away and the cottage was just a short drive from the supermarket. We booked this cottage for a relaxing family Christmas, which was exactly what we got and more. I highly recommend this holiday! many thanks"

"Had a good service from sykes cottages.Everything went smoothly. The home was very pleasant clean and nicely decorated Had everything one needed for a lovely holiday. The location was good being a short walk from Milford on sea and only a few miles from places like Bournemouth and Poole. l liked how near it was to the Isle of White as it was only a very short ferry ride from there lovely."
"A most thoughtfully equipt, comfortable and welcoming holiday home. This accommodation provided everything we could wish for during our stay, and the bonus was to be just a short walk from the beach and the local town."
"Travelled with my daughter and grandchildren.. We had the most wonderful time in the area, there is so much to visit or in our case revisit after several years going elswhere. The bungalow was spotless in an ideal position for visiting New Forest and the south coast.. The layout inside the bungalow is ideal for a family. and the secluded garden excellent if you have small children as they can come to no harm."
"we had some hic ups with the loo but on the whole we had a nice time"
