"Visited this cottage weekend of the 16th September 2017. It is in a great location.We found it not as described on the adverts, dirty bathroom, dust on window sills and lampshades.The cottage felt generally stuffy. The rail by the staircase was very wobbly, compromising health and safety for guests especially kids."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Overton Bank. It's a delightful cottage suitable for a family. Clearly it is a small property but that is part of its charm and it has been cleverly fitted out to make maximum use of the space. Five of us stayed here (two adults, one teenager and two younger children) but the size of the cottage certainly wasn't an issue and we all loved the experience of staying in such an old and interesting cottage. Car parking was no problem and we were always able to park close to the cottage. It was very nice being able to walk everywhere and not having to use the car. We would definitely stay here again and are hoping to do so next year."

"Very cosy cottage that is beautifully decorated and right in the centre of Leek. The owner went out of her way to take care of us and was very friendly. Lovely courtyard area, comfortable and cosy lounge and great for our little girl with lots of children's books."

"Stayed for a week mid-March 2014, three adults. Cottage is in centre of the town with arts centre and market square < 200m away. We found footpaths North and west into the hills and ideal for cycling base. Excellent Wifi and Leek had at least 5 nice places to eat. 50 Mins from Manchester airport, 60 Minutes from Sheffield, 60 Minutes to Derby train station, so we were able to gather from all over the UK. Excellent base for a week in the Peaks."

"This cosy cottage was ideal for our needs, being centrally located in Leek on the edge of the Peak District. It was central yet quiet with a bijou garden ideal for a glass of wine in the late afternoon/early evening sun. It was very well centrally heated and with good all round facilities. Mind your head if you are over 5'6" though as the door heights are quite low! The only thing that we would have liked is a proper shower rather than the hand held one in the bathroom. Overall, it was excellent value for the price and we will definitely consider returning, despite generally usually choosing to stay in different places."

"We had an excellent stay. There were shortbread biscuits, assorted teas, coffee, a pint of fresh milk...every comfort arranged for our arrival. It's a very quaint, fairly comfortable conversion - a tiny house but converted with taste and had everything we required for a comfortable week's stay. Access through the car park was really convenient, located extremely conveniently in beautiful Leek. Could do with more comfortable seats for family of four (with teens) and a frying pan, otherwise no complaints, it was a lovely base and we'd definitely consider staying there again if visiting. Not too far from alton Towers - beautiful drives both directions, perfect proximity for The Roaches...wonderful holiday, with property high on the list for it's success."
