The village of Dyffryn Ardudwy quietly nestles between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Boasting its own mild climate due to its unusual positioning, and an exciting array of wildlife and birds including soaring buzzards, this village provides good local shops and a good pub. The small town of Harlech is just 4 miles away, dominated by its majestic 13th Century castle which is a World Heritage Site, and the most impressive of all the castles built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech alsoboasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants. Nearby Barmouth offers an amazing Panorama Walk with breathtaking views and also a harbour from which you can enjoy a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing.
Reviews
"This is a lovely cottage - quiet village location, with great local shop for essentials. Really close to some superb beaches. The house has everything you will need - lots of thoughtful touches that make you really feel at home, with delicious bara brith cake on arrival! We felt very comfortable here and could relax and enjoy our break. The children enjoyed the enclosed garden and it was really clean and well equipped."
"Ty Cerrig is an absolutely lovely cottage. It's so clean, fresh and bright with everything you could ever want. You can see the sea from the lounge and bedroom. The downstairs toilet came in very handy and the bara brith and flowers were a lovely touch. A lovely week spent here with the family. Thankyou so much."
"It's just perfect. It was clean, in a nice location, great parking, warm! And had good privacy. One bathroom but another toilet downstairs. We came in two cars with almost our entire house packed for our baby, and had ample space to house everything we brought. This cottage stocks everything and it's so spacious. It's comfortable and relaxing and you can really feel at home here all the small details had been taken care of before we arrived. The location is not too remote either which was nice for such a big rental with a huge garden! Plenty of everything supplied along with some welcoming gifts from the owner :) as a youngish couple who came with a teenager (my sister) and a 6 month old baby it was and ideal place to make camp. We visited the national slate museum, Barmouth, Portmerion, and Coed y Brenin for some mountain biking. It's exactly what you see in the photos :) will book here again if visiting the same area for sure!"
"The cottage on arrival was more than we could have expected. Beautifully presented and equipped to a very high standard. All our requirements were met - even the needs for the baby. Views and sun-sets were spectacular, lovely garden space for the 2yr old, he loved seeing the rabbits playing in the garden every morning. This has been one of the best we have had the pleasure of using and we cannot wait for our next visit. Thank-you Mrs Edwards and your Daughter for you hospitality."
"Stayed at this cottage for one week arrived to a warm welcome by the owner flowers and a lovely cake were in the property.it was lovely and spacious, excellent facilities, beds comfortable, log burner to keep us cosy and views to die for ,highly recommended cottage"
"On arrival we found an immaculately neat cottage waiting for us. The amenities in the cottage are modern and clean and refined. If you don't want to use your car, then the cottage well situated within walking distance of a train station and bus stop, it's easy to explore or go shopping using public transport. The homely atmosphere and rustic environment was a welcome get-away. Don't expect a reasonable internet connection though."
"We had a great week at this property. With a new baby we were a little apprehensive about our first family holiday but the cottage exceeded all our requirements. The photographs don't do it justice and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended."
"pictures on internet looked great, the reality was even better, the property was lovely and clean and spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday, the garden is well maintained and quite large, the views from the property are fantastic, if your fortunate enough the sunsets are brilliant, I would recommend this property to anyone one who asked, we were a family of 5 adults, but children would have loved the garden and freedom to play safely out doors."
"Excellent location with easy access to beach, pub, restaurants. A lovely spacious property - glad to stay there again."
