Reviews
"a fantastic place to stay host's were really nice and caring people .great bedrooms downstairs with great showers for each bedroom upstairs open plan living with a great Jukebox for all your 60's favourites to enjoy. will be back some day highly recommend this quite home from home"
"We wanted a warm, clean base with a nice shower and comfy beds for our week away and we got that and more! The property is delightful, the owners are lovely and the garden and surrounding wildlife wonderful! The Jukebox is an added bonus and we certainly made good use of it as we ate breakfast watching the birds and bunnies on the garden. (We thought slip mats in the showers may be a good idea?) There are plenty of pubs close by serving good food and plenty to see and do, from seaside visits to wildlife places and stately homes."
"The upside down house is nice especially if your vertically challenged like myself as at least that way you don't spend your whole holiday banging your head on the very low parts of the ceiling. The views and surrounding area is very tranquil and stunningly beautiful and full of wonderful wildlife which is truly a joy to watch. Liked about the stay: The views The Jukebox The Shower Dislikes: The owners attitudes towards my family The hot water going cold mid washing up The fridge door falling off The security lights waking us up The shaky staircase The unsafe steps to seating area lack of information on house operation ignition button on stove jumps off into flames on hob once lit NO broom (which I remedied out of my own pocket all future guests your welcome) needless to say the issues are many and the stay was very disappointing stayed 10 days before feeling so unwelcome we had to leave"
"Quarryside is unique, and not just because of the jukebox in the living room. The cottage makes perfect use of a remarkable site on the edge of a small quarry, with sitting-out areas to catch the sun at any time of day. The upside-down layout with the bedrooms below means that the living area is particularly light and spacious. It is very well furnished and equipped, and the owners, who live next door, are particularly helpful and welcoming."
"this cottage had it all,the owner and his good lady could not have been more helpful, the cottage has a duke box and it was well used, overall i would have to say that we had a wonderful time and i will be going back, but to anyone with difficulty on stairs this one is not for you."
"we loved the cottage and the accomodation was forst class but did not find the area (linconshire) to our liking"
"Great accommodation.Cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished. Located in a very quiet area with nice garden.Pub nearby serving excellent food. Centrally located for visiting lincolnshire.Would have been perfect except for the owners two cats which would enter the cottage at any opportunity so all doors had to be kept closed even in the sunny weather. Would have been nice to eat outside but again couldnt do as the cats kept jumping on the table. if you are not ardent cat lovers do not stay here."
"A great Cottage with friendly owners who live next door. The bedrooms are downstairs both on suite. The upstairs kitchen and living space is all open plan and easy maintenance. The added extra of a real live Juke Box makes your experience really special. Fully loaded with a free selection of 60's and 70's hits from Elvis and Buddy Holly Chuck Berry. You will have a great time and less than 8 miles away is a motor circuit called Cadwell Park where many Car and Bike events take place. Enjoy a break eat outside alfresco on a unique balcony. Book now for a great experience with all newly refurbished modern facilities"
"The highlight of our stay was the Juke Box. Something that took us back to our youth. it was a lovely surprise. Tha Cottage is very comfortable with very high quality fittings. The shower is pure luxury I could have stayed in all day. The owners are lovely people and though they are about do not impose on privacy. It is in a very beautiful area of the wolds and set just off a quiet road.We liked it very much. I would have liked another saucepan for cooking though I would add I did not ask the owners for one and I am sure if I had have done one would have been supplied"
"cottage was lovely and comfortable. close to large town but tucked away in lovely countryside. owner was discreet but available if needed. booking was very easy and efficient. liked cottage and location. staircase was a little wobbly!!"
"a very modern and interesting place to stay.beautiful gardens to walk in.good, friendly hosts. 2 en-suite shower rooms, lovely! mind your head in the lounge"
