Reviews
"Cottage has the wow factor as soon as you walk in. Clean and comfortable with lovely view. Would stay there again. A hair dryer, bathroom curtains and some coffee provided would have been nice touches. Double bed could do with a new mattress as it was not so comfortable after a couple of nights. Couldn't get the hang of the heating but the wood fire was nice. Good location but no place close by for a nice dog walk, you needed to go in the car. A nasty bend to cross to get to the lane where cottage is but a lot of places to visit within a few miles."
"Nicely furnished cottage in a lovely location. Comfortable and clean. Would have liked to see a washing machine and broadband would been a big plus as there is no 3g signal at all. Would definitely return"
"We stayed at the cottage with another couple and our little dog. It had everything we needed from comfy seating, spectacular views, a fully stocked kitchen, a nice welcome pack and flowers in the vase, comfy beds and two bathrooms. The interior was open plan and modern so it felt spacious yet homely and we could all chat whilst cooking and enjoying a glass of wine. Finished to a high standard yet felt at ease. Even though the weather was not kind when we were on holiday we still managed a lovely walk around Edgecombe Park, the passenger ferry across to Plymouth and some lovely drives out to the famous places of Boscastle, Padstow and Port Isaac. Would highly recommend this property and would stay again."
"Highly recommended! On arrival we were delighted that the cottage was even nicer than it looked in the photos, and these were impressive enough. There is lots to like about it - very spacious, modern, well designed with lots of interesting details, and in a beautiful secluded location with superb views across the ever changing estuary with Dartmoor in the distance. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay is there, even a pair of binoculars to help enjoy the view! The pub in the village is just a short walk down the road and where we were always given a friendly welcome. Although there is a community shop in the village, we rarely found this open, so you need to be more than a little organised with your shopping and provisions. We went as a couple with a dog, and found the short lane outside the front fine for early morning and evening 'essential' walks, but the Wacker Quay to antony Trail, which winds along the edge of the water for much of its length, was a lovely return walk. Our favourite places for eating and drinking were the Edgcombe arms at Cremyll, (overlooking the water towards Plymouth), and the beach cafe at Seaton where you can feel at ease with a dog. However, the cottage is so nice that at times it was tempting to just stay in and relax!"
"Fantastic views from large picture windows, overlooking the river and the distant hills. Semi detatched and about 25 yds. from the main road. This cottage has everything you need, the garden is small but there is a sun deck. When approaching from the ferry at Torpoint the turn off the main rd Is on a blind bend, and can be a little hairy, no problem coming from the South, although the locals should do something about the verge at the junction as it is overgrown and blocks your view on leaving the side rd. The cottage was nice and clean with a welcome pack. It is handy for all the places on the Rame peninsular. We would highly recommend this cottage but beware steps down to the front door if you have elderly guests, would definatly return."
"Spacious and comfortable for 2 and would still be adequate for a couple and two children; replacing all mattresses would push the score up further. Under-floor heating worked very well though we had less success with the wood-burner. The quiet location has good estuary views to the north yet it is just a short journey to the ferry in order to get into Plymouth: it's also a good location from which to explore eastern Cornwall."
"Great views, modern high speck cottage. Really lovely area very convient for walks, nature and easy access to city if needed."
