"This was one of the TOP 3 trips of a lifetime. The owner was FANTASTIC and the property was BEAUTIFUL. We had a lot of questions on what to do and where to go and Trish had the answer for every one of them. She even told us that she would have the local pub we wanted to visit come and pick us up and then bring us all home when we were ready. The locals were wonderful and we felt more like relatives then toiurists ! You can't ask for much more then we enjoyed staying here."

"Located in Tulla, Ireland, deep in the heartland of County Clare in a small village surrounded by tradition and sheer beauty Ballyblood Lodge is EXCELLENCE in EVERYTHING, from the accommodations that were spotless, to the wonderful people that run it. Only a short drive into Tulla for groceries or a meal and a few minutes away from PEPPERS PUB for traditional Irish Music on Wednesday and Sunday AND EVEN MORE AMAZING they pick you up and bring you home so you can thoroughly enjoy a meal, a drink or 3 and the entertainment. ."

"The lodge is huge and a really nice place to stay. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. The owners left us some home made scones and some essentials in the fridge for when we arrived which was a really nice touch. The location is good, perfect for some peace and quiet but not too far from Ennis,Limerick, Cliffs of Moher etc. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"My husband and I were vacationing in Ireland with another couple and decided to make this lovely place our home away from home. We were definitely not disappointed at all. The facility was immaculate. Very large and lots of room. The bathrooms had great showers and toilets. The kitchen was fully equipped and the washer and dryer worked great. The Murphy's were wonderful hosts and helped us with any questions we had. They had some kitties that would meet us at the front gate every day that were very cheeky. One of the friends that was with us has really severe allergies and had no problems with pet dander or smoke as it was pet and smoke free. We highly recommend this lodge. It was in a beautiful area of Ireland with lots of places to go to from there."

"We spent the last week at this amazing lodge, it is set up with everything you need to be a home away from home, excellent amenities such as washing machine, dishwasher, iron etc... The lodge was lovely and clean and each bedroom had its own wardrobe and plenty of space. The gorgeous garden was very spacious and had a hot tub which was very relaxing and ideal after sight seeing throughout the day! The lodge is situated in County Clare and is ideal for travelling to The Cliffs of Moher, Spanish Point, Father Teds house, and many more must see locations! We are the best Indian of our lives in a restaurant called Bonfire in Ennis approx 12 miles away! The owners are very friendly and on site if you need them, we could not fault our stay with them at all and would highly recommend to all."

"Just back from ballyblood lodge, had a lovely week despite the weather. Located in a quiet rural area but perfect base to discover Clare limerick and Galway. The house itself is fairly impressive, plenty of room, light and everything you'll need, bikes wellies even a miniature hurling pitch!! The hot tub is a real treat. The house is perfect if you just want to chill, party, entertain the kids, it's an all rounder. Anything you want to know about Clare hurling- ask Kevin. Cheers for the memories "

"Just back from a lovely week at ballybood lodge. The accommodation was fantastic with a beautifully equipped lodge with lots of great space inside and out. The hot tub was perfect and used every day. Owners were really nice and we really can't fault anything. Bikes were provided which was great as they can be expensive to hire for a family. Gas BBQ was also used on the wonderful patio area. Lovely part of Ireland too close to limerick and Galway within an hour. Cliffs of maher 45 mins away with a lovely stretch of coastline. All in all a definite recommendation. Thanks for a lovely week. "

"No seriously go book right now. This place is FANTABULOUS to say the least. Stayed a whole week. Mrs. Tricia emailed me a couple days before arrival to just touch base, arrived at lodge to find scones, jam and milk, how great is that. She went thru info on the house showed us around. So beautiful so quiet, hot tub is what the body needs as we were completely worn out each day, Mrs Tricia, thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful lodge"

"Outstanding. Only problem with this superb rental is that i didnt want to leave! Spotless welcoming and homely. The owners friendly cats were a lovely bonus for my girls . Tulla village has everything you could need grocery wise. But you wont need the essentials as Tricia the owner has thought of everything including scones and jam. Beautiful stove with turf and logs provided. An abundance of books and games for the children. Fabulous hot tub is a unique point and so relaxing. Perfect base to enjoy all family day outs co clare has to offer. I stayed in november and the house is super warm. House is not overlooked and is nice and private."

"Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and shown around the farmhouse. The house had everything a family (we have three boys 6,4 and a toddler) could need and basic pantry items were provided (and fresh scones with jam!). We spent most days taking a morning trip to visit all the great places nearby (Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Craggaunowen, Quin Abbey, Galway) and returning after lunch to relax in the very clean and well maintained hot tub. The kids loved the hot tub because they got to use it even when it was cold outside. There are also three friendly resident donkeys which the kids loved feeding apples to. We did our big grocery shop in Ennis which is also a lovely town; try the Poet's Corner there for a beer and some trad music. Would definitely recommend Ballyblood to any family looking to spend a relaxing week in the beautiful Irish countryside."

"Just returned from a week at Ballyblood Lodge and have to say this is the most fabulous home from home. Very well equipped, comfortable, clean and peaceful. Hot tub is a great feature which is welcome after a long day out. Not far from Ennis which has everything that you need. I would recommend this lodge to anyone looking to visit this area of Ireland."

"We stayed here for our honeymoon in September. The owners were very welcoming and lovely. There was homemade scones, jam and a traditional honeymoon drink, Mead waiting for us on arrival. The house itself was spotless and spacious and the hot tub was a spectacular addition! Couldn't sing the praises more! Fantastic."

"My wife and two friends stayed at the Ballyblood Lodge from Sept 9-16 and had a terrific stay. The Murphy's were very helpful in the lead up to our trip, answering any questions we had in a very timely manner and while we stayed their they went out of their way to make our stay great. Even lending us the use of their printer in order to conduct some business back home. The lodge is huge and very clean with a bright and well equipped kitchen. The TV is small but frankly we never really watched it. Most of our time was spent on the huge deck or in the hot tub relaxing. There are laundry facilities and lots of friendly pets to keep you entertained. I would highly recommend a stay here."

"On our recent trip to County Clare to revisit new friends and finish some heritage investigations we choose to stay at Ballyblood Lodge. What a wonderful decision. Firstly it was very convenient to Kilkishen where my Grandmother was born, but most particularly it looked superb -and it lived up to every expectation - plus it was self catering. We had a wonderful week at the lodge. We enjoyed and explored the local area and really felt part of the community. We cooked lots of local food and had a wonderful relaxing stay. Trisha & Kevin and family are wonderful hosts - they made us very welcome and were more than willing to help in any way they could. The property is very private, lovely to live in and we would both love to be able take it home with us....Highly recommended."

"The area is lovely and the photos of the lodge do not do it justice. We stay in many lodges/cottages throughout the UK and Ireland and this is right up there with the best. Patricia, Kevin and Captain the dog were so friendly and welcoming it felt like home from day one. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed and more, the kitchen is kitted out brilliantly. The hot tub is big and lovely and the rear garden area was huge with good seating area on decking. Our party was of 8 and the house was big enough to accommodate everyone without feeling at all claustrophobic. We were lucky to have good weather and Clare won the All Ireland hurling cup for the first time in 16 years so the weekend was full of celebrations. There are two taxi drivers in the area who were brilliant and took us into nearby Kilkishen and Tulla which were small towns but lovely quaint pubs and also into Ennis. Both taxis were reasonably priced. Seamus was our favourite though and we made a good friend in him by the end of the week. I genuinely would recommend this lodge to any one, you will not be disappointed believe me Can't wait to book for next year"

"Ballyblood Lodge is simply amazing thanks to the standard the house is finished to and to the Murphys who own it. The Lodge has been so beautifully designed and decorated both inside and out. We travelled with our 9 & 6 year old kids and they would have been happy to spend every day at the lodge playing in the big gardens, soaking in the hot tub or playing the many board games available. The Lodge is equipped with everything you could need and more and there is any amount of tourist information, anything you can't find and the Murphys will only be too pleased to help. The photos of the Lodge don't even do it justice it is better in real life! We can't wait to go back and would not hesitate to recommend this holiday home to anyone."

"What a lovely place! The house was warm, bright, spacious, comfortable and we were made to feel so welcome by the owner. The outdoor hot-tub was a very special treat and we had everything we needed. There were plenty of sights within driving distance and we particularly enjoyed the traditional music session in a nearby pub. We will definitely be coming back!"

"The cottage was great, superb directions from the propreitor helped lots :D. The fire was all set up to go when we got there and you couldn't get us out of the amazing hot tub. Kitchen was a good size and the dining table made lunch/breakfast/dinner lovely. The 3 bedrooms are all good sizes and the sheets/pillows are so comfy we didn't want to get out. All in all I'd highly recommend the cottage, it's location makes it easy to see all of Co.Clare."
