Reviews
"My Mother passed away in February 2019. My Father and I have had a very stressful 7 months since then dealing with it. We booked a week in Fron Goed. The cost of the week is great value for money. Its a lovely cottage. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming. They live next door and are available if needed but they werent as everything was great. They even left us tea bags. Lovely and warm main room. I slept downstairs in the twin room and my father slept upstairs. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a base for exploring Snowdonia. One suggestion. Please get a bigger sign for outside the gate as we drove past it a few times during the week. :) Thank you again to the owners and will of course return if we are coming back to the Llanberis area."
"From the start the owners make you feel welcome. The cottage is warm, cosy, well lit and easy to heat. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and it feels roomy. It's so peaceful we felt like 4 nights just weren't enough. Very handily placed to get to Llanberis, Caernarfon, Bangor and Anglesey. Some very good local pubs and very easy to park in Llanberis for Snowdon. definitely going back!"
"We loved staying in Fron Goed cottage, even tho it was set back off the road we found it easily, there was parking for both our cars, we took my elderly mother with us so having the downstairs bedroom was great for her and also the bathroom being downstairs! I would say you'd definitely need a car to stay because it's a little bit out but we found most places to visit were within a 15 minute drive, the owners were very friendly"
"We loved this place. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the owner and shown around. beautiful gardens to relax in and nice and cosy cottage, nice and clean also had everything you need. We had fresh milk left for us and there were laundry facilities that we could use. It was central to all the place's we wanted to visit in north wales."
"Despite the weather on our holiday being somewhat unpredictable and raining quite a lot, the moment we arrived at Fron Goed, we knew we had a warm, clean and comfortable place to stay. The owners of the cottage were extremely friendly and helpful and it was clear that they looked after the cottage. The only two issues we had, one of which probably would not have reveal itself had the weather not rained at all, were a leak in the conservatory at the front of the cottage and the smoothness of the stairs up to the second bedroom that were quite slippery if you were not barefoot or wearing shoes. Overall, we had an excellent stay in the cottage and send our thanks."
"Fron Goed was all I hoped it would be. It was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable, and completely catered for all our holiday needs. As a centre, it proved to be very good, with easy access to Anglesey, the west coast, and the mountains. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a base in the countryside. "we stayed at FronGoed late September,The accomdation was very clean and everything you could need is in the cottage. As we was in late season,we did not have any bother with the main road as some reports said The owners were very helpful and pleasant, and the cottage was very warm ."
"Fron Goed is a lovely cosy cottage, very well presented and in beautiful gardens. We were meet by the owners who were very welcoming . It is perfectly located for exploring the area, we visited castles and beaches, country parks and towns. We also spent time in the garden and the cottage, Caernarfon is only 20 minutes drive where there are supermarkets and places to eat out, you do need a car though, you can't really walk anywhere. We found the cottage a great size for us and our 1 year old as she could safely play in the main living area although the open staircase could be an issue for some. The cottage is on a main road and although set back there is no gate so you do have to be careful when outside with young children. We had a brilliant holiday and would definately go back."
"Very friendly welcome when we arrived. Cottage very clean and comfortable and had everything to really make it home from home. Easy access to Snowdonia Railway. We had a really enjoyable stay and would highly recommed the cottage"
"A lovely place with a great location and a very helpful owner, all round the cottage was in a great condition felt like my own home would recommend to every one."
"Beautiful comfortable cottage with a lovely garden. In the house and conservatory it was quiet and peaceful, however although the cottage is set back from the road it is a very busy a road and it was too noisy to sit in the garden. Otherwise a lovely location. Everything we needed and more were in the house and the family who own it were very friendly and accomodating."
