The cottage has one king size double bedroom, two twin rooms and a family bathroom, which make it suitable for six people. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside the cottage is off road parking for 2 cars and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture. Perfect for visiting Alton Towers, 53 Stoney Lane is a great family cottage all year round. The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of openmoorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Cauldon is located one mile away from Waterhouses on the edge of the Peak District National Park and has two pubs, a couple of shops and a fish and chip shop. Just 4 miles away is Alton Towers Theme Park. With hundreds of rides and open all year round, it is the ideal place to take the kids for a fantastic day out.

"This is a very comfortable, clean cottage which had ample space and facilities for our family of 5. The only thing we could have done with was a larger fridge. There were toys and games (including PS2) to please a range of ages and the bedding and welcome gifts tailored to our children were much appreciated. With fields front and back it's lovely and peaceful although mobile reception is dodgy. Alton Towers is an easy 10 min drive and Dovedale (gorgeous) is 15 mins. There is also a bike hire place just up the road in Waterhouses at the start of a lovely cycle route up the Manifold Valley."
"We had a lovely stay. House is in an excellent location for Alton towers. Bathroom a bit small but what can you do if you don't have the space. Lovely size bedrooms maybe one bedrooms could have a en suite. Fully equipped kitchen."
