Reviews
"The cottage is located on the main road quite close to the village of Trawsfynydd so it's easy enough to find and get to. We'd read a few comments regarding the noise of passing traffic but have to say we didn't notice it and we live in an extremely rural area so I don't think it would be an issue for most people. The cottage is set at an angle to the road with the small chapel in front and a lovely private garden to the side. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything I needed, which was brilliant as I prefer to cook when I'm away, upstairs the shower room is separate to the bathroom/toilet, with 2 teenagers this was a godsend! We were really lucky with the weather, there are lovely walks/ mountain bike trails close by, we visited the beach and castle at Harlech, Swallow Falls at Capel Curig, Conwy Castle, the Great Orme and Landudno. The highlight of our week was climbing Snowdon, it was amazing. If you're planning on visiting North Wales you really couldn't find a nicer more homely place to stay, the owners live close by and they were really lovely and so helpful. We knew we were onto a winner when we arrived to a waiting tea tray complete with Welsh cakes, it was the perfect start to a perfect week, thank you!"
"We spent a few days in this lovely cottage which we booked on the spur of the moment to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage itself was delightful and had everything you could possibly need. We had a warm welcome from Ieuan and Gwyneth who had provided flowers, coffee and delicious Welsh cakes. We wish we had stayed longer."
"we stayed for the bank holiday weekend to celebrate our sons 18th birthday! he wanted a family weekend break mountain biking which the cottage was perfectly positioned for the coed y brenin mountain biking trails. its also immaculately clean comfortable beds everything you could possibly need is there. the owners are very friendly even provided welsh cakes and coffee which was gratefully received. Would definately book again. thank you from the Fulljames family XX"
"Everything that could be provided for your use and comfort is here. We prefer to have a chance to make our own food when away for any length of time, and we had no problem doing so. The supermarket is a short drive away, so finding provisions is no problem. The cottage is a perfect size for two couples, or a family of four (perhaps not very young children who can't handle stairs). The toilet on the main floor is handy, and the separate shower and bathroom is efficient. Having a washer/dryer was also a lifesaver. The cottage is on a fairly busy road, but we really didn't find the noise an issue at night. We did find that shutting the window minimized the noise almost completely if it was busy. This cottage is so charming you won't want to leave. It is private and immaculate. Mr. and Mrs.Tomas are great hosts. In addition to providing you with a wonderful stay, they are interested in assisting you with information on the area, and hearing about your experiences. It is very well centered for driving to so many areas where sightseeing and adventures can be had within a drive of an hour or less. We have stayed in many B&B's and a few cottages, and Ty Capel Jeriwsalem is a the top of its game."
"We had a very nice welcome by Mr ansd Mrs Tomas and the cottage was a surprise by its location behind the chapel but once inside what a delightful place clean, very well appointed, warm, complete with a log fire and a very nice welcome pack. The beds were very comfortable and with a shower room and two toilets it was a perfect place for four people to stay. It is a little way from the nearest village of Trawsfynydd and although located near a busy road the cottage is behind the chapel and traffic noise was not a problem. The location is great surrounded by open countryside and a good central place for visiting many local places of interest especially the narrow gauge railways. Portmadog, the home of the Ffestiniog railway is only 11 miles away and in the course of our week's stay we visited a narrow gauge railway every day! With sheep just outside the kitchen it was just a lovely place to stay and we would thoroughly recommend this cottage."
"Really lovely cottage, which although is on a main road, when inside you don't hear the traffic at all. Nothing negative to say - nice beds, nice facilities, nice kitchen, great log burner... a really well presented place. And a great location from which to explore snowdonia. 10 out of 10!"
"I have stayed in quite a few cottages and this was by far the cleanest. It was absolutely spotless. Cosy and warm with or without the wood burner on and it was a novelty to be making the morning cuppa with a lamb watching me the other side of the kitchen window! Owners were friendly and laid on a welcome tray with cakes. Would definitely go back, looking forward for a return visit."
