"Myself, 7 friends and a dog were fortunate enough to be able to visit this beautiful part of the UK for a long weekend. This cottage added to that fortune. Situated in a picturesque village in the peaks offering 2 great pubs and a coop to cover all our needs. The cottage it's self was of good size and comfortably accommodated all 8 of us (and the dog). The lay out is perfect for group dinners, board games, film nights etc. The kitchen has everything you need and more, making breakfast and dinner time easy to cater for a large group. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the garden owing to the weather however it was again of good size and a great layout. Couldn't recommend this part of the UK and particular accommodation more!"

"Location in Tideswell is good for shops in village and walking in surrounding area. The cottage in many respects is well appointed. The lounge and dining area have seating for 8 plus wi fi, TV sound system etc. The kitchen had everything needed for preparing meals for eight but a measuring jug would be handy. Separate WC and communal bathroom, plus 1 ensure were handy for our big party 3 bedrooms were nicely set up. However the fourth bedroom on left of ground floor as enter through front door was not great. My husband and I had this bedroom which was damp and cold despite the small radiator being on. It was a very small room with 2 pine slatted beds at right angles to each other. They had 14cm plastic covered foam mattresses which were uncomfortable. The quilts were not enough to keep us warm, fortunately we had 2 picnic blankets in the car.to use for warmth. It would be suitable for children if the damp was sorted out."

"Spacious but quirky cottage with every amenity. Very well presented. Tideswell is a lovely village and there are shops to cater for all your needs, everyone is very friendly. Great base to explore the Peak Dustrict. Perhaps not suitable for toddlers given the upside down arrangement and steepish steps to garden. There is a stairgate however. Bedrooms are small and we just managed to fit a travel cot into the upstairs double bedroom. Remember to pack a hairdryer...I forgot mine!"

"We stayed here with family ranging in age from 25 to 76. We were all delighted with the amenities and the overall excellent presentation and cleanliness of the place. It truly is home from home. There is next to no activity in Tideswell so we found ourselves driving out nearly every day. Lots of walks in the area (but only one we could find in the village). The only spoiler for us was the awful weather but that was of course completely out of the owner's control."

"Stayed at stoneycroft with family. This is an excellent cottage well equipped with all the comforts of home, plenty of room for eight adults. The cupboard full of condiments is always a bonus, it would be a good idea to make this known, it would save bringing along all those incidentals from home. The cottage is a great location for walking straight from the door and all the village amenities close by."

"Had a lovely holiday even though it was very wet. Back exit flooded and had to access utility room from side gate. although this was no great hardship. I think we left place cleaner than it was on arrival but otherwise could not fault the equipment supplied. Kitchen better equipped than at home!!!"
