Reviews
"My friends and l enjoyed a fabulous New Year in this gorgeous cottage. We were welcomed with a home made lemon drizzle cake and a basket of logs for the fire. The cottage is beautiful, so cosy with everything you need for a self catering holiday, it also includes three parking spaces! Masham itself has some lovely pubs a restaurant and great dog friendly walks along the river. The owner Sue was really helpful, I accidently left some belongings behind which Sue promptly returned refusing payment for postage. I would strongly recommend a visit to this beautiful cottage, you won't be disappointed!"
"This cottage was lovely and not short of anything. It is very cosy and a great place to stay. We were welcomed with a lovely sponge cake , Delicious. The town of Masham is a lovely little town although not much to do but a great place to use as a base. Lovely walks and great pubs which are all dog friendly and serve great food especially the Bruce, Worse service and food was the kings ? hotel in the square."
"Just returned home from one weeks stay in this beautiful cottage. Sue the owner is a lovely lady who promptly arrived to sort a small problem we had with the TV. There was a scrummy homemade lemon drizzle cake and a pint of milk waiting for us on arrival which were much appreciated. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and equipped to the highest standard and the bed was soooo comfortable! In spite of the awful weather, the cottage made our stay in Masham an enjoyable one. Thank you so much Sue."
"Stayed at Amberley Cottage for a week in February, our first stay in Masham. Cottage was cosy and welcoming. Roomy, well equiped and very clean. The owner had left us a home baked lemon drizzle cake which was delicious and she checked to see if everything was OK on our arrival day. Cottage was very close to local amenities and market square but was very quiet and peaceful. A nice garden and the parking was handy. Masham was a delight with a pub/hotel to suit everyone if you can drag yourself away from the biggest log burner I have ever seen!. All the shops you would need. Nice walks from the cottage and some lovely gems a bit further afield. We went to Hackfall Woods, Fountains Abbey and the Druids Temple. Follied out! Cannot recommend this cottage highly enough."
"Stayed for 3 nights midweek break. Couldn't fault the cottage, had everything you would need for a relaxing break, plenty of room and access to Masham village within a 2 minute walk. The village has great real ale pubs, 2 breweries worth visiting, local shops, a lovely church and offers access to plenty of nearby towns and villages. Lovely countryside and walks nearby, we didn't use the car all the time we were there. The owner had baked us a Victoria sponge cake which was a lovely touch and well received. The log burner was very cosy and nice to come back to when we had been out and about. Would definitely visit again, for longer next time to make the most of the area."
