Laugharne is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas and a visit to his Boathouse and the garage where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot.

"Coran Cottage is in an excellent position in Laugharne to visit all the nearby beautiful beaches and places of interest. The Cottage itself is well set back from the lane and comprises of a large kitchen diner, comfortable lounge with a wood burner and downstairs shower room. All appliances are modern and well maintained. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, and the family bathroom. The garden is safe and secure so no escapees. The views of the hills are stunning and the grounds maintained with a little stream running through them down to Laugharne. Ideal for "poo sticks". Visitors are welcome to go round the stables and say "hello" to all the horses as well as book riding lessons or just go for a hack. You could not be made more welcome by Jacqui and Melissa who will also give you useful information on where to go / eat. Being on holiday you don't necessarily want to cook. Laugharne itself is charming and a visit to the castle is a must. Local beaches, well Pendine, Amwroth to name a couple. Further afield you will find Monabier complete with castle. Pembroke and St David's are also within comfortable driving distance. Once back home to Coran Cottage, you can snuggle down in front of the wood burner during the winter, with a nice glass of wine. Or in the summer sit out in the beautiful grounds or follow the new woodland walk. There is broadband which can be switched off should you have teenagers who believe they cannot live without it. We proved they can!! Errrr don't book Coran Cottage when I want it, its my hideaway!!"

"Over the summer, friends and I had a dream of spending New Years away from it all. By December, we thought we had left it too late but luckily came across Corran Cottage. Oh how perfect it was. The six of us spent 3 nights here and it was exactly what we were looking for; a complete escape from city life (wi-fi was only available if you stood near the window), a quaint Welsh town, country walks, and lovely hosts. The barn is newly rennovated, the fire burns warm, the stars shine bright. We brought in our own food and wine, and barely left the house. If you're looking for a change of pace, with some very friendly hosts, this is the place for you. We all cant wait to come back. Thanks again."

"For the city folk this place is a dream! A total escape from daily reality. The hosts Jackie and Melissa were very accommodating and very friendly. The cottage had everything needed to enjoy a few days away. Well furnished and maintained, and the kitchen had more than expected so lots of cooking was done! Located just on the outside of the village centre, but close enough to see the sights and of course sample the pubs! Great trip - totally recommend and would totally stay again if heading in that direction!"
