"This property has everything you need as a perfect base to explore the area. Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy to relax in after a day of walking, with amazing views from the sun-trap balcony. Its great to have private, convenient parking for the flat. This is our fourth visit and we're about to book in one for 2019! Can't recommend enough."

"Great location for town and surrounding countryside. Spotlessly clean and cosy with wonderful views of the hills from the lounge. Everything you could wish for is provided. Parking close to the apartment with sufficient space for an SUV. Highly recommended; can't wait to make a return visit to this holiday cottage."

"Great location, short walk through garden to central Ambleside. Clean, modern and well fitted out kitchen and bathroom. Efficient heating. Lovely sitting out on balcony admiring view with a glass of wine after a day exploring ."

"Flat clean tidy and well equipped with lovely views from the lounge and patio .Perfect location less than 5 minutes walk into Ambleside with many restaurants and pubs covering all tastes .Parking a bit tight otherwise no complaints and would certainly consider returning next time we visit the Lakes ."

"This is our third stay and we love it even more each time. The easy access to Ambleside, the beautiful view from the balcony and so centrally placed for all the 'big' walks. The owners are very helpful and attentive and the property has everything you need. We can't recommend enough!"

"Such a lovely little house. So close to the town, yet secluded and private and stunning views. Clean and well presented , everything there you could need, lovely books and games to use. Parking space fine. "

"Had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful Ambleside home. Great location, only two minute walk from the town, down the wooded garden steps, yet fantastically private and secluded, you would have no idea you were that close to the town. Views of the Loughrigg fells from the patio windows, makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere The house is well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean The precious reviews had said the parking space was tight, yet our ford s max people carrier fit with no problem."

"We love it here. Perfect location, attentive hosts, beautiful views, very well kept, warm and inviting. Wonderful to return to after a hard day's walking, to relax infront of the fire before heading out to the delights of Ambleside, just a few steps away. Can't recommend highly enough."

"This is lovely for a weekend away. The reason we stopped here was because it's very close to the town centre of Ambleside which is at the north point of one of the lakes. The cottage was very clean and each room is fitted to a very high standard. At the front of the property there is a sliding door (seen in photos) which overlooks some great scenery of the Lake District. The location is great; a very short 30s walk down some stairs at the front of the property leads you right into the centre of Ambleside. Within the town there is a great choice of cafes/pubs/restaurants etc. My girlfriend and I loved our stay (she even joked about putting an offer in to the owner!). The only reason I have given this review 4 stars is because we found the mattress a little hard and the central heating is quite noisy when it switches itself on/off (which happens during the night)."
