Stanhope is an ancient market town in the beautiful Wear Valley. The town is home to the Durham Dales Centre, offering tourist information, a coffee shop, local arts and crafts. In addition to this there is a selection of pubs, specialist food stores, art gallery, outdoor swimming pool and pleasant riverside walks.

"Wonderful xmas touches on arrival. 7 night stay in a fabulous apartment every appliance and cutlery provided for cooking our xmas dinner. Nothing was too much trouble when contacting owner. Grandchildren loved it and all set in a wonderful village. Perfect Christmas"
"Fabulous apartment exceeded expectations. Lovely touch with welcome basket and robes for the Hot Tub. Huge garden area which would be amazing in the spring/summer months. Very relaxing weekend had by all. Recommendation to look outside of Stanhope if looking for a nice pub lunch or tea room. Pubs and tea rooms we visited in the main street were not of a very good standard (see other reviews). Would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay in this apartment. "
