Biomass central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 5 mins walk. Note: Access to the property is via a flight of steps, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: There is an unfenced drop from the patio, care to be taken.

The picturesque village of Castleton nestles in the beautiful Esk Valley, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this bustling village offers superb amenities including two pubs, both serving great food, a village shop, a convenience store, a Post Office, tea rooms and a small art gallery. There is a railway station serving the Esk Valley and Whitby, which also links with the steam line to the attractive market town of Pickering. The Camphill Village Trust community of Botton is nearby, with its craft workshops and shops selling home produced food, craft items and books. The historic city of York is just over an hour away, and the coastal towns and villages of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay and Sandsend with its lovely beach, are within easy driving distance, and well worth a visit.

"Where do you start. Easy to find, very comfortable, warms. We were made to feel welcome by the owner Alan, who was not in the least bit intrusive. Beautifully decorated and all the mod cons you would need. The only thing that was a bit of an issue was lack of mobile phone reception and corresponding lack of WiFi but that is a minor point to be honest. If you are looking for a lovely quiet retreat for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors I could not recommend Bee Garth highly enough,"
