Reviews
"This is a lovely bungalow with a contemporary look beautifully transformed by the owners who we met upon arrival to explain how everything worked. Parking for 2 vehicles on the drive and only a short walk into town. Facilities excellent with good quality equipment and even basics provided to keep you going like tea coffee and biscuits. Lounge a decent size with more than enough room for 4 people. Beds very comfy with plenty of hanging space in the wardrobes and mirrors in both rooms which is good if like us, you are travelling as 2 couples and both females need to put makeup on or dry their hair. The bungalow is just off the main road into Pickering with a garage and shop at the end of the road. There are a couple of supermarkets in town close to the railway station. You can use the recreation club opposite if you don't want to go far and there is a swimming pool just around the corner. We went into Picketing both nights and would recommend the Black Swan for food but book as it does get busy and they stop serving food at 8.30pm. Would also recommend the wine bar on the high street. On Saturday we drove to Helmsley which has a lovely square to walk round with 3 pubs if you get thirsty. Ventured into Pickering on the Sunday to see the arrival of the Flying Scotsman but not many shops or cafes open for the early morning arrival. Overall a fantastic place for a weekend break and I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again. Thank you Peter I will pass your booking details to friends and family."
