The hamlet of Torver rests in the Lake District and has a 14th century inn and a 19th century church. It is a great starting point for exploring the nearby fells, the Duddon Valley and places including Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere. Walking, mountain biking, climbing and watersports are available on the Coniston Water.

"Good points - lovely family bathroom and excellently fitted kitchen. Beds are awful, minuscule television for the size of the lounge with dodgy reception, cleanliness of the lounge could be better, garden enclosed but NOT secure, in short horrendously overpriced for our week."
